Proofs

hi there question about proofs...

i was just told mine are in. what's the usual procedure. do you go on and get them all to take home and look over - or do you have to look at them all there and make your decisions for the albums? just seems like a lot of pics to have to go through in a short time.

also, do you pay the balance when proofs come in or after final albums are done?

I think every photographer has its own rules, why not call them and see what is req'd so you do not go in unprepared. I cannot wait to see them. Hurry up girl

PS We got to take our proofs and our negatives home and paid any remaining balnaces then. When we were ready to make up our album we called up Lia and made an appt.

Another PS, we paid our final balance when our album came in.

You can take your time to do your album. Just pic up your proofs, enjoy them for awhile and then start thinking about your album and what kind of pictures you want in your album. My place took awhile to get an appointment to sit and do the books esp. since I could only do weekends and late evenings...so it took 2 months to get an appointment. I made the album appointment about a month after getting my proofs when I handed in the picture I wanted for my thank you.

As far as $, check out your contract. Everyone is different. I had to pay most of my balance when I picked up the proofs and then small payments when the enlargements/album proof was done and then again when the albums were complete and the negatives were handed to me.

i am VERY shy about posting pics, but i PROMISE that i will post a few. also, i have to learn how to scan and put them on the computer first uh oh!

It was my halloween costume from Shamma's halloween costume thread...it is suppose to be a Chupacabra...so Spanish myth guy - it is kind of a little family joke. I liked my costume so I kept it on...
