the photgrapher is going to make the album in the way the order of the proofs are given to him. However, the albums are supposed to show a story from beginning to end. So maybe convince the parents to put them in more of an order to show the course of the day. But, again, if that is how they want their album...then let it be.

Gail - I put my pictures in order for the most part but there are a few where the proof # is out of sequence - for example at the planting fields I liked one that was taken towards the end but I put it before a few taken prior to it. They didn't have any problems with it.

At least the album will tell a story... my MIL choose all her family photos (several duplicates) and 3 - 4 of me and DH !!!! I told him he needs to talk to her about it because I can make a different album of family picture prints.

we'll be putting in the order of the 'story'. since its there album, we'll let them do it how they want

Re: Proofs for album

Our album guy asked if he could switch a few things, but the fianl decision was with us. ( usually his ideas were better) So, if your family wants it weird, you can leave it that way.

We took our last picture from before the reception, but we were walking away, so it made a good closing shot.

My MIL didn't pick pciture to tella story AT ALL. She put 1 pic of me at my parents house, 1 pic of her parents walking itno the church , one picture of my immediate family, and then the rest were various combinations of DH, her, FIL & The groomsman ( DH's cousins) They wer eall from 1thr posed shots before the reception.

They didn't really ahev an order--we jsut handed them to the photographer. Then when she got her album, she wanted to know who picked the order.

OMG...do we have the same in-laws?
Mine gave me a hard time too but then the photographer told me the weirdest album pics r always from the grooms family. They picked no mother son dance, no bride walking down the aisle but their daughter (a bridesmaid) walking down the aisle, they picked no family shots and she picked her friends. i was furious BUT listen to what everyones telling u bc I am over it...Its their album...they have to live with it. let thrm do what they please. You have your album.

Really? Interesting.
Yeah, I cared, b/c I was alittle offended that she didn't want any pictures of the ceremony ( umm. . . wasn't that the point of the whole day? ) But it's not my album, so whatever.

The best was when the albums were ready, before she saw them, my MIL said, 'So is your parents' album like ours?'

I tried to be nice, & say no, it's the same size, but they chose most of their pictures from the ones in our album & then DH jsut said, ' Why would Heather's family wat 16 pictures of me with my parents & cousins?
