Because as much as we'd like to believe it we really dont have seperation of church and state. Our country's morals are based on Christianity whether we like it or not. I agree with you on this 100 percent. We are a diverse nation and religion should be seperate especially considering we have people of different faiths.
Yea I know that's how it is, I just don't get it. It's stupid.

yeah i guess straight people can tell others about the morals of marriage and just the institution of marriage period, i mean hetero-sexuals are doing such a great job at it whats our divorce rate again?

Its really awful. Its a shame that heterosexuals can get married and our divorce rate is sky high. And there are some same-sex couple who havebeen together a lifetime but cant exchange vows. Its a sad thing.
I always think that. Like hey maybe they'll appreciate it more since it's extra hard for them. Everyone deserves to be happy as far as I'm concerned.
