What is ONE thing that you actually MISS about being single?

Re: Q of the D
I pretty much live my life the same way I have before I was ever dating DH. I still get to do what I want, wear what I want, go where I want, and the same goes for him. I never wanted to feel like I had to change or my partner had to change once I was in a relationship, and DH felt the same way.
There are more responsabilities that I have now ,but I think that's more so a part of growing up rather than a part of being married. I can still play xbox until 3:00 in the morning, and he doesn't care b/c he is out on the couch playing his PS3 until the same time, it works for us and I don't miss anything about being single lol I am so glad that awkward search and heart breaking time of my life is over. I had a real bad relationship before I met DH and it ruined me for years. That guy was the one reason why I was so messed up, mentally, sexually, everything. I am just glad I don't have to go through the mind games anymore and I can be myself. Isn't that what being in a marriage should be like anyway? =D

Being a flirt!! lol I hate to admit this but I also loved getting male attention and getting hit on (as long as the pick up lines weren't corny! lol ) It always helped my self esteem. I don't have the greatest self esteem or self image..so it really helped me to feel better about myself

Re: Q of the D
I dont know what its like to be a single adult since I have been with DH since I was barely 15 BUT from before I was married?
I would come home from work and my mom would make me dinner and then clean it up. In the morning she would make me breakfast and tea every morning and pack a lunch for me. All of my laundry would be done - I could have worn the same clothes every day because that is how fast my mom does laundry!
sigh I MISS THAT! Especially since I just got hoe from vacation and it took me two days to unpack and do six loads of laundry! LOL

Posted by lexi1890 I also miss all my friends and family back at home. I moved and now only talk to them online or over the phone. It's hard when you just want to go out and have a girls night or something.
i hear ya!!! I also moved away after the wedding and I really miss home a lot. Not just Long Island (which i really did enjoy) but mostly my family and closest friends. You're right, sometimes I just want a girls night out, but I still don't really know anybody from around here which suckss. I wanna have my sisters over or go to a chick flick with some of my friends. So that's definitely something I miss too.
Where did you move to?

wow - I am so glad you got out of that relationship. He sounds horrible. You deserve so much better, and it really sounds like you found it! I think it's great that nothing's really changed for you guys. For me it was really a drastic change only because he and I lived over 1,600 miles apart while dating and obviously never even lived together until after the wedding, which is also when we moved far away from the only home I've EVER known. So there's been some real changes. But when it comes to doing the stuff that we enjoy, that hasn't changed at all. We both love the same stuff - watching movies, playing games, etc. So now instead of doing it alone, we just do it together and it just makes it all the more fun
