My name is Melissa Anne. My mother named me because she felt it sounded like Queen Anns lace.
I don't hate my name....I hate it when people call me Missy. I really do not have anyone who calls me by my name anymore everyone has some sort of nickname (Myrtle, Mischka, Mis)
I do like the meaning of my name...it means honey bee. (The funny part is that I'm allergic to bees!)

Re: Q of the D
I like my name but everyone always pronounces it wrong.
I'm Andrea Ellen...Mom wanted Ellen Andrea, Dad won.
it's ON - DREE-UH
I get called the following: Adrianna ON - DREY - Uh Ann-dree-uh Audrey and thousands of other variations.
My own grandmother says it wrong, and my Aunt (RIP) spelled it wrong my whole life.
I don't get annoyed when strangers say it incorrectly I get annoyed when you are supposed to be my friend or work with me everyday and I answer the phone 'Hi this is On-dree-uh and they respond with Hi Ann drey uh.

I like it, in school never had a lot of ppl with the same name. Maybe 1 or 2 so there weren't many of us. I wouldn't consider it a very unique name but also not common either.

Re: Q of the D
I was named after some cast member from Gone With The Wind by my dad, never watch the movie so I have no clue. Unfortunately, my name gets mixed up with Christina. Those two names are different. A lot of ppl have argued that the only difference are the endings with an A and an E. It's two different names!!! There is really nothing unique about my name since it's become more common. Back in the 80's, it was different. Now, there are thousands of Christine's all over the world. Even my middle name Kaya is common among the Japanese. The celebrities have the cool names- River, Jewel, Hayden, etc. When I have kids, I'll def name him/her something different.

My name is Deborah - I think it fits me perfectly. But I hate when people spell it the other way (Debra) without even asking me. It took FOREVER for DH's family to spell my name right, and to this day there are still some relatives who send us Christmas cards with it spelled the wrong way. You'd think after seeing it on the wedding and bridal shower invitations they'd make note of how it's spelled.
My best story is, when we got engaged my MIL spelled it wrong on our cake - so annoying!!! She's really religious too and she should know it better than most because Deborah is the biblical way of spelling it.
