question about spain airports ...

what's the main airport to go to in spain?

i just saw a great deal on a mediterranean cruise that leaves from barcelona but the flight was $500 more per person than the actual cruise

is it always that expensive (it was $1300 per person, round trip) or is it just that i'm looking at the 'wrong' airport?

TIA

Re: question about spain airports ...

BCN - Barcelona airport is the right one for the cruise...

If it's a summer time cruise - that's about normal airfare to Europe.

ok, forget it then ...
cruise = $750-ish per person
flight = $1300 per person
(cruise + filght) * 2 people = way more money than i have right now!

That stinks!

and yes, i know i'm a loser for using the parentesese in my little equation

Re: question about spain airports ...

If you don't mind a little travel, the main airport is in Madrid (MAD) from there you can take a high speed train to Barcelona, I think it was about 2 hours. Another option is to fly into Madrid and fly one the low cost carriers such as Vueling.
