QUESTION FOR THE OLD TIMERS OF THE BOARDS...

Are there any person(s) that you clicked with thru the board, that you just knew if and when you met them outside of the board, you could be friends and your friendship could be sustained outside of marriage/board talk.

If you feel comfortable you can say who it is and if you have met them was the meeting different than you thought it would be or is it what just what you expected???

I felt that way about chatting with a few old timers - but specifically, I think Erica and I clicked pretty well

I always remembered her to be a consistently friendly cheery poster here always with good advice when we were all planning

I think we've met for 2-3 GTGs and is was pretty much was I expected - but I was really glad we were able to meet up on my recent trip to CA - my DH and I had a great time with her and John!

Another I could have a lot to chat about outside of wedding stuff is Lisa But because she's out in SF I've only met her twice I think?

I met three newlyweds that I have a ton in common with and became very friendly with

Heather, Lauren and Jennrenee

All but Jenn live very close and I especially have A lot in common w/ lauren since both of our hubbies are in the same borough in NYPD, our Marriage announcement was coincidentally in newsday on the same day and we were both married within two weeks of each other in the garden terrace room at fox hollow and are now practically neighbors

I enjoyed meeting Marni too but do not see her as much

I think I felt comfortable meeting all of the above b/c we had so much in common that I felt like I knew them already!

There are a few ladies that I clicked with on the board but the 2 I can truly say that I met outside of the board and is the same and we can talk about anything and everything are Liz and Natasha. They are far away from me, but we talk on the phone and we go to each other's home and I love the time we spend together, I feel like they are my sisterfriends. We connect on a different level. I love these ladies like the sisters I never had.

The ladies that I have clicked with that I have met, they have all lived up to being as I expected, but b/c of distance we do not get to be as close as Liz and Nats and I have become.

This board really can create some close bonds.

Yep you hit the nail right on the head - who would've guessed I'd end up right around the corner from you? We do have a bond!
But I love all the ladies I have met, and even those I haven't but just have spoken to! to everyone! Esp my EM & Levit girlies!

Teri and I have chatted outside of LIW and I think if I met her we could be friends and actually Stef28, we have met (both got married at Smithtown Landing) and we chat almost everyday on e-mail, we are VERY alike, it is scary....

Kathi and I meet almost 3 years ago and have remained friends ever since! We have become good friends and even our husbands have become friends!!

I truely value her friendship!!

STACE!!! How could I forget about you?! I hate these types of questions sometimes because it's not possible to name everyone, and I don't want to insult everyone.

Of course, if we EVER MEET, I think we'd definitely hit it off well - we have enough to chat about already! And don't forget our connection with your dad

I also go back with Sonicstef & Michele for our chats here and on UW, Michelle (applesfla) for sharing our wedding day too with Michelle and Stef

As I was writing this question it crossed my mind that someone might be afraid to answer b/c it might seem as if you are forgetting others it nothing about that. I wanted to know b/c this was being discussed on another board that I frequent and I talk with you ladies more than I do them and it just crossed my mind to ask it here.

There are some women that I have clicked with that I have not met yet and I would love to meet them, does not make them any less special to me. Then there are those that I met and they are no different that how I thought they would be, but we just did not get to grow as close as others and I have.

Well Claud and I were friends long before LIW so I will not 'count' her as an answer but she is most definately my friend.

Cindy and Stefanie are two people I consider friends, not on line friends, but in life friends. We call, e-mail, discuss private life (off board) situations and have meals together, and join each other for special occasions.

I also consider a number of 'old timers' my real friends, even though we don't have dinner or talk on the phone. Erica and Teri have been in my life for a long time, as well as Shamma.

I also feel that Jenny11-9, Niha and Natasha and I are pretty close in terms of the parenting board stuff. They are very supportive and alway there to listen.

But there are also many others that probably deserve me to mention them and I apologize to them for not mentioning them.

I am hesitant to answer this, because I don't want to leave anyone out and hurt their feelings, BUT...

I see and speak to Anna frequently (well speak to, more than see ), and value her friendship beyond the internet.

Anna, Debbie (Bearsbabe) Cira, Michelle W, Claud and I try to get together from time to time, and although we are spread out all over geographically, I consider these wonderful ladies my friends and feel a bond with them.

Tammy and I have quite a lot in common, and although we've only met twice, I'm sure we'd see more of each other if we lived closer. I feel the same way (location wise) about Becky, Kathi, and Trish (chemlengr).

There are MANY people who I've met only briefly or not at all, and I think of these people as 'my friends' because 'internet acquaintences' just doesn't cut it. These people are (and forgive me if I've missed someone... this is HARD!)

there are a lot of girls on here who I have only met a few times or talk to a lot in work email and IMS and have never met some of them but since this the question asked something else I didnt want to go on a tangent: dont think I forgot that I talk to you a lot!!
