Question of the day ... What are you planning for your anniversary?

Whether it's your first, second, or tenth! Since we are all so jealous of Shamma going to the Caribbean on her anniversary ... I thought this post may give us some ideas of things to do on our anniversary. It's never to early to start planning, right?

Okay ... we are planning to go to Aruba on our 1st anniversary! We have a timeshare there too.

Here's a pic ...

I just posted a question of the day too! We will have to coordinate next time

Our anniversary isnt until October so we havent even talked about it - but I would love to go on a trip. I think Im going to have to steal Shammas idea.

Our dating anniversary is in a week. We will go to a really swanky restaurant..havent decided which.

We are going to Arizona - it was our runner-up HM destination. We are trying to decide if we want to go to base ourselves in the Phoeniz/Scottsdale area or the Flagstaff/Sedona/Grand Canyon Area.

Cira, the resort looks beautiful!!!!!!!!

For our 3 month anniversary(which is also our daughters birthday) we are going to finish putting everything in our wedding time capsule(video, pics, wedding cards)& seal it up. We will open it October 20, 2012!!
That's all i've got so far! October seems far away, but maybe I should plan anyway.

That's a cool idea Rich's Bride!

Stef ... do you think we can skip tomorrow, since we have two today? I too, am horrible at thinking of questions!

Thanks Christine ... it's actually my parents timeshare but they give us weeks to use. And they so happen to have it the week of our anniversary. But we may go to Hawaii in October and if that's the case, then Aruba would most likely be off!
I want to see Arizona too ... your plans sound great!

Re: Question of the day ... What are you planning for your anniversary?

I said I would bring whoever can fit into my suitcase I did not get any takers.

As most of you already know we are going to St. Marteen, I am so excited, it is a small but peaceful island. The last time we were there, hubby and I rented scooters and rode around the entire time.

We will be there for a week. A young lady on here gave me info on island hopping and we will be looking into those. I will look for my other post and post my pictures again. We just missed our 4yr anniv or dating on Dec 26th and we did not even celebrate it. Maybe since the date we got engaged was on my b-day maybe we can celebrate that

Shamma: If I lose some weight, I can probably fit. Ask Roger, if he has some space for my hubby.

Cira, is that the Playa Linda in Aruba? That is beautiful. We too have a timeshare in Aruba the 3rd week in November and that will be our late 1st anniversary celebration. Otherwise on the day of, I would like to do something romantic and fun.

We are planning to go to Barbados for carnival; however, it will not be on our anniversary. We are also going to Miami again in October.

Last year we were supposed to stay at the Playa Linda but with the planning and all we canceled the trip. I am glad to hear good things about that place. Do you ladies have the timeshare with Interval Int'l where you can trade your week in for another country? or do you have to go to the same place the same week all the time?? Our timeshare gives us the freedom to exchange in to the program to go elsewhere, ever tho' we purchased it in St. Marteen. We pay a small exchange fee but it is so worth it.

Natasha, for you of course.

Tammy you can come, I was only kidding

Re: Question of the day ... What are you planning for your anniversary?

Great question! My anniversary is in a few weeks...DH and I want to go to Tahiti but February I hear is not such a great time of year so I think we're going to plan the trip and go in a few months. Maybe our 1- 1/2 year anniversary.

We still want to plan something for our actual anniversary since it's our first - maybe a b&b somewhere....we need to get moving!

Suggestions welcome

Well, we'll be expecting a new little bundle of joy on June 14-15, 1 week before our 1st wedding anniversary (June 22nd). A second trip to Aruba or something like that would have been nice, but a baby is really the best gift we can hope for!!

Ours is so far off, it's hard to say just yet. If we don't find a house by then, we'll try and go somewhere warm. If we're just looking for a quick getaway, we'll probably stay at a B&B out on the North Fork. I love Eastern LI in the Fall!

Februarybride - check out this thread from the brides board

Romantic Getaways

There are several really nice looking resorts/B&B's. In fact we are planning a weekend trip to the Sterling Inn.

we wanted to go on a honeymoon for our first anniversary...but with dh still out of work thats pretty much out of the question now, so we will probably just do something nice at home.. Our anniv. is not until MAy 25th, but with him not working now and then hopefully soon trying to get into a house of our own, i dought we will go anywhere regardless...Its funny cause we have been together for almost 7 years, and we have known eachother forever, and we have NEVER been on a plane together!! LOL

Re: Question of the day ... What are you planning for your anniversary?

Being I just got married in the end of October we haven't talked about our 1st anniversary yet but we are talking about our next vacation! We are throwing around Costa Rica or Florida for spring training (we are both huge baseball fans!)...maybe in March.

Hopefully by October we will be moving into a house and may not have time for an anniversary vacation....we shall see what this year will bring. I am sick of apartment living but not sure if I am ready for the responsibility of a house and moving to LI and leaving the city lifestyle!!

Re: Question of the day ... What are you planning for your anniversary?

Stacey, Yes, that's the Playa Linda and I LOVE it there. It's right next to the Hyatt, which in my opinion is the nicest resort in Aruba. Playa Linda is so close to everything and so relaxing. Although I haven't been there in 3 years, I doubt much has changed. Shamma, I will be sure to give you my review when we get back ... if we go and don't go to Hawaii!
