I was 28 and DH moved out when e went to collage and never moved back home (kinda) we live at an apt at my IL house

I moved in to DHs parents house when I was 20 (still slept at 'home' once a week though). Then DH and I bought our house when I was 21 he was 26.

went to boarding school at 15. spent only weekends and vacays home. then the army, also same - weekends home.
after the army at 20 yo moved to another city to my own apt w/roomies
then came back at 21 to go to college and lived in my own apt in the same bldng as my parents until 24 when I left my country to come live here in NY. obv nothing but living on my own since then, until moving in w/DH at 28
DH was 18 (moved at 1st to AZ then to another country). never ever went back to his parents' house

cant believe how many of u guys have stayed w/parents for so long and are moved out for the 1st time. wow

At 17, I moved out for college and stayed there all summers.

After undergrad, I got my own apartment immediately (I was 21 when I graduated).

DH also got his own apartment after college, and he was 22. Mind you, we both did not live in Long Island, and it's much more affordable to get apartments where we were.

i was out as a college freshman at 18. first in dorms then renting apts. after college, my parents stopped helping me out. i moved back home for 3 hellish months after breaking up with an exbf. it was the best thing to do for my sanity...

If you don't count living in a dorm at 18 then it would be 25 for me.

Lived away at school then my parents moved to Cape Cod when I was a sophomore in college so I had an apt. that I lived in for summers & when I graduated before DH & I moved in together while we were still dating. So, the last time I lived with my parents I was 18.

eta: DH was 22...that's when we moved in together. He lived in dorms for college also so he only lived back home for a few months before we moved in together.
