Really annoyed with my IL's

Thanks ladies.. I feel better. and actually feel really bad for whining. She is really sweet and probably (hopefully) didnt even realize what she did.

i would be hurt too! i'm so sorry! i would totally take it out and put it on the bookshelf the next time you are over there!

i agree!! that would be something i would do! just put it up yourself!! if she takes it down then i would be like ummmm ***????! and maybe your DH will realize something is up with that too

Thanks ladies. I feel like a baby whining about it. I just told DH and he says I am reading into it all too much and it is probably true.

I just dont feel 100% comfy with my inlaws and I dont feel like she really loves me. Anyone else feel this way?

I sorry honey - you are such a better person than she is! & Let me tell you for the record - I havent seen your DH's brother's GF - but I already know that YOU wer the most beautiful that day! Your pictures are gorgeous & you truly were an amazingly beautiful bride! Love u hunny!

If it's any consolation, I had to hear it from my MIL when I got to view DH's 1st wedding pics in his parents album, about how DH's ex-wife's dress was SO pretty - how their engagement photo was SO beautiful - how their wedding was SO wonderful (b/c it was a week b4 Christmas)...ugh...seriously...DIDNT NEED TO HEAR ALL THAT.

people are truly brainless & thoughtless when they speak...

ETA: I would mention to her about the picture in the drawer - if you have a good enough relationship w/ her - I would ask her why first & depending on her response I would tell her how much it hurt you after you went out & bought a nice frame for it that she has it lying in a drawer soemwhere...JMHO

Our MIL's must have compared notes. She sat me down and showed me his wedding album, and told me how great the day was, how much fun it was, etc. Meanwhile, everyone has told me that the wedding was NOT fun b/c it was 4 days after 9/11 and very sad and somber!

I hear you Jenny, my MIL totally likes my BIL's gf better then me. They do all kinds of things together. They even went to Florida together.

I look at it as, fine, you two can be best buds and I don't have to pretend I would rather be spending time with you then my own family.

DH is going over there on Wednesday to do something for her (cause god forbid her other two sons THAT LIVE WITH HER do it).. so he said he is going to take it out and put it on her nightstand.

Seriously she sounds like MIL... your married to the son that is the most helpful and your the least favorite DIL or gf. I was so excited because she finally printed out pics of DH and I together.... they are in the guest room we sleep in.

This sounds like Eric......hes always doing things at their house! My favorite was when he went and chopped down like 10 trees in their yard.......meanwhile his brother is a landscaper!
