Hi ladies,

Does anyone have any good recipes for dips or spreads? Something that would go good on crackers or a bread?

my mom used to do this for parties all the time. She would take a block of philly cream cheese and pour pepper jelly over it and serve with triskets. Its actually reallllly good! ou just have to make sure its a good pepper jelly you are using.

That is soooo yummy! I get the sweet pepper relish from Harry and David!

and it is beyond easy! I 4 year old could make it. LOL.

Boursin Cheese Spread (Homemade)

Boursin-style cheese can easily be made at home. Not just more economical, but fresher and tastier.

makes 3 cups (approximately) - freezes well too

Ingredients

* 2 garlic cloves
* 8 ounces butter, at room temperature
* 16 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
* 3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese (the real stuff, and freshly-grated)
* 1 tablespoon fresh dill, minced or 1 teaspoon dried dill weed, crumbled
* 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
* 1/2 teaspoon basil
* 1/2 teaspoon chives
* 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (herbs crumbled)
* 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme, crumbled
* 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley

Directions

1. Have cheeses and butter at room temperature.
2. Crush garlic.
3. Mix cheeses, butter and garlic.
4. Add remaining ingredients, mix well.
5. Pack into a container just large enough to hold the boursin and store in refrigerator.
6. To serve, bring to room temperature.
7. Serve with crackers.

i LOVE making the Knorr spinach/veggie dip...it's right on the back of the box. I dig out a pumpernickle loaf(or any loaf) & put the dip in there for cute presentation, and use the removed bread for dipping. it's always a hit (although i skip on the waterchestnuts..not a fan)
-------------------------------------------------

PREP TIME: 10 Minute(s)
CHILL TIME: 2 Hour(s)

INGREDIENTS
1 package (10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
1 container (16 oz.) sour cream
1 cup Hellmann's® or Best Foods® Real Mayonnaise
1 package Knorr® Vegetable recipe mix
1 can (8 oz.) water chestnuts, drained and chopped (optional)

PREPARATION

Everyone loves our dip! Here's how we make it:
Combine all ingredients and chill about 2 hours. Serve with your favorite dippers to your favorite people.

A new serving idea: Hollow out cucumber slices and cherry tomatoes. Fill vegetables with Knorr Spinach Dip and garnish with a sprig of dill.

MAKES 4 cups dip
(**Tip: when chilling, chill in separate bowl..if u leave it in the bread bowl, the bread will get soggy..transfer to bread when ready to serve)

My stupid computer took too long and then had an error

This is a hit every time!!! I love serving it because them I feel like a great cook lol
