Recommend a Movie for Halloween

We're going to rent a movie Halloween night - please post your recommendations. I don't like anything gory - but scary ghost stories I like (ie, The Six Sense, etc).

Are Black and White OK?
If so there is this one from 1944, it's one of my favorites. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0037415/
If it has to be color there is Scret Window with Johnny Depp. I don't think there is much blood in that.

This is exactly the movie i was going to suggest. I was even going to post a thread on this. It was the scariest movie I have seen in a long time, plus the fact that its inspired by true events makes it even more creepy. Dh LOOOVES horror movies and always laughs at me for even getting scared but this even freaked him out I even messed with him after the movie and scared him ...during the whole movie it kept you in suspense, and i was holding on to my blanket so scared the whole time. I even screamed out loud which rarely happens

You would get this, but now all we say to eachother is 'is tamra there' i'll knock on the door and say that

it is not a ghost story, its about something that happened to a couple a few years ago. The fact that this can actually happen makes it so much more scary

After that I tried to go smoke a cig outside but he yelled at me to sit and finish watching it I really hate him right now !! I was checking bushes and behind trees when I went outside after the movie to make sure noone was hiding out there

i know it freaks me out, i joked around after to dh that we should go to his house in the poconos this weekend and he said 'I AM NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN' its so funny to me how freaked out he got, never saw him like this. After the movie he went to the bathroom, i hid in the 2nd bedroom with the lights off and was laying on the floor, so when he walked out and was walking through the hallway i grabbed his leg and jumped out screaming

it is scary if you live in a house where its more isolated, i would be checking everything too

the orphanage was a really good, creepy movie. no gore in it all. it has spanish subtitles, but i think you can also watch it dubbed in english.
