REPOST FR BHB: Cake TOP??

We have the entire top of our cake just chilling in the fridge...I know most couples save it in the freezer, and take a bite on their anniversary...do people still do that??

WE ate ours on our first onth anniversary. I made a nice dinner, bought a small bottle of champagne, used my china and wore my tiara We had our cake top for dessert. It was taking up way too much valuable freezer space and chances are most of the cakes taste pretty yucky after a year.

We put ours in the freezer and will take it out for our 1st anniversary. Who knows what it will taste like by then, but we will have at least one bite!

I'm about to do the huge wrapping ceremony in a little while...we'll see how it goes...cuz it is pretty huge, and my freezer is not!!

we are saving ours. when we bought th house and moved i wanted to eat it and DH actually was really cute about it and said we had to wait till our one year annv! its going to taste like complete crud but it's fun to wait.

Ours went right in the freezer and next month, we'll be taking it out and trying it. I'm sure it will be yummy!

We ate ours about a month after the wedding. We ate it for dinner, along with a bottle of Dom Perignon we were given, on our first Saturday night alone in our new house.

It was taking up a lot of freezer space and DH didn't have any at the wedding. By the time our anniversary came around it wouldn't have tasted so good and he surely would've missed out.

For our 1st anniversary, I am going to go back to that bakery and have them make a small cake of the ingredients.

We saved ours and had it on our 1 year anniversary with my family. And the rest the day after with his parents. And it was surprisingly yummy!

I think we may bust it out next Monday it will be our 1 month anniversary. We dont have the room at our house and its at my dads but when thanksgiving rolls around he will need the room. So 1 month we will chow down!!!!
