My best friend and her bboyfriend always go to Prime in Huntington. I've never been there myself but they always rave about it.

Re: Resturant help

My DH and i LOVE the fifth season in downtown port jeff. if you sit upstairs, you can get the view of the sunset over the water. food is amazing....they change it for the season. and you can wear anything you want. Ive seen people in jeans and sneakers. i usually wear something nice but dont need much more.

Re: Resturant help

Try Lombardi's on the Bay in Patchogue...we just went there for DH's 30th bday with his family and it was amazing! It's more seafood and steakhouse than the regular Lombardi's, and the prices are so reasonable for the behemoth amount of food you get. The steak there was absolutely 10x better than any steakhouse I've ever been to, including 21 Main, it was so tender and flavorful. And the seafood appetizers were really delicious too...so seems like it could be the perfect compromise for you.

Re: Resturant help

Try Popeii's Clam Bar on Wantagh Avenue.

Great seafood and pasta dishes, but they also serve steak and other specialty items. It is a mom and pop restaurant, but it does get packed, coz the food is sooo good.

You should try it out.
