RP... Kitchen AId Mixer.

Do you girls have the 5qt or 6qt, any rants or raves about either model.

I like the bigger bowl size, but I'm unsure about the way it lifts up, it seems a bit cumbersome ... any thoughts? Thanks!

I have the 6 qt. I love it! No complaints at all (other than the color DH picked out - a dull yellow! blech)
The bowl moves up and down very easily with the handle. You just have to remember that when you take the bowl off, to stir the bottom of whatever is in the bowl. There's a raised indentation on the bottom of the bowl and stuff doesn't get fully mixed down there.

I have the smaller one, and I wish I had the bigger one. The bowl locks into the smaller one by turning it on the base and it gets stuck when you try to take it off.

i have the 6qt and havent used it yet because we arent in my house yet but my mom has the same one a few years older and i used it alot and its great

I have the smaller one. I really wanted copper and that was the only size that it came in.

My parents have the larger one (the Epicurian I think). My mom has trouble lifting and maneuvering it. They have a garage on the counter. It doesn't fit in easilier (has to be turned on its side) and my dad always has to put it back for her.

I am happy with the smaller one. It doesn't feel small. It works for everything I need it for. And I can lift it.
