you can see police, fire dept, teachers....its nuts! that would freak me out if people could look me up on there!

As a govt employee i HATE it but I DO understand why it is done. I am just a low level employee right now but *WHEN* I move up to a big shot position, people have the right to know what their federal and city taxes are paying for.

The only way you can be taken off the list is if it causes danger to your life ( like if you have an order of protection or something )

I just found someone I know! She makes a great salary!

i just laughed out loud at that hahahahaha

I used to work at Stony Brook and my salary was listed (but I actually made more then what was listed....hmmmm). It made me mad at first, but I guess I understand the reason.

I was super nosy too and used to check all my lazy co-workers salaries to make sure they didn't get bigger raises then me.

wow...this is going to fill in the rest of my work day now lol

Wow...I totally want to be a lawyer .

I found my husband and half of the guests at my wedding, nosy that I am. NO WAY will I tell him about this site.
I also found my friend who teaches. wow.

That doesnt include overtime...like with cops I know a lot of their salary is overtime, teachers make what is called persession so they could actually be making a lot more than shows

omggg I cant believe that information is given out so freely!!! I just looked up my DH, but its not even right

think its off by a year...my salary isnt correct I think its from last year..I looked up my friend who started last year and her's isnt even there...

OMG that is crazy.....Yea you are right, overtime isnt included this is just a base salary. With firemen its the same thing, a lot of what they make has to do with all the overtime they do. I looked up DH and his isnt right either.

well yea, it actually says that right on the site (that its only shows the base salary) but i would say that its still pretty informative
