Separate beds!

ever since the wedding we never once spent a night apart. Even if one of us is sick, we still stick together. Both of us are claustrophobic people so I was nervous about sharing a Queen size bed with him, but we've made it work. If we ever get more money and a larger bedroom maybe we'll upgrade to a King, but so far it's been fine. Neither of us are 'large' people, so we each have our own side of the mattress and sleep perfect.

I couldn't imagine sleeping in separate beds though. Even when he was passed out on the couch that one time, i STILL made him get up and come to bed. lol.

You know how everyone has SOMETHING that they are irrational about? well this is MY thing. My ILs sleep seperately. . . and to me, sleeping together is what makes us husband and wife and not roommates.

so even though i snore, or he may be deathly ill - we sleep in the same bed. if he falls asleep on the couch i will go and drag him into bed.

once we fought, and he went and slept on the couch ( which is really a love seat ) and i smooshed myself between him and the couch and made him try to sleep like that until he gave up and we both went to bed, LOL

whenever someone asks what is your favorite part of being married, i always say 'sleeping together' i love waking up in the middle of hte night and for some reason he is up to and we will have a whole conversation and then both fall asleep like seconds later - i love when he pulls me closer in his sleep without realizing it - i love when our dog whines bc we didnt leave enough space for him in between us LOL

That is so freaking cute.
I am the same way, if DH is sick, It's in the house so I am goign to get it eventually, so I just stay in the same bed. If he falls asleep on the couch I wake him up to go into the bedroom.

I was on another board and I saw a post about NWs that sleep in different beds in the same room or even different bedrooms. There were so many replies of people who were doing this! I was scratching my head. What are your thoughts? DH says I am a bed-hog but he would never consider sleeping in another place...

Ha, that's the first thing I thought of! I guess to each his own. My husband was sick all last week and now I am, so sometimes when one of us is sick I was we had a bed in the spare room!

DH and I could never sleep apart. I am a total bed hog, and I steal blankets but DH would never think of sleeping away from me. We had our first nw fight and he tried to sleep on the couch, lasted about an hour and he came back to bed saying he couldn't sleep without me (probably realized the couch wasn't all that comfortable).

I don't understand married couples sleeping in different beds every night. Just a little strange to me anyways.

I can't imagine not sleeping with DH ...BUT maybe it wouldn't be so bad considering he often wakes up with sore ribs from me elbowing him when he snores too loud

My DH keeps me warm, he is my human bed heater so I need him in there! Sometimes he snores, like rarely and I just make him turn over.

But other than that I love sleeping with him and waking up next to him! When he is away I have a terrible nights sleep!

same here, we always sleep together. On very rare occasions ive fallen asleep on the couch but happened like 2 or 3x maybe. And he is away, i cant fall asleep as fast and not as comfortable. Even when were sick we sleep in the same bed.

Wow, interesting! Very 'I Love Lucy'! lol We are always in the same bed. I HATE when he watches TV later than I do and ends up falling alseep on the couch. Something in me tells me he's not in bed and I wake up to call him in. Even if we are sick, we are still next to each other. When he works nights I hate it and have such a hard time falling asleep

If either of us are sick the other will sleep in the other bedroom. DH always complains that I take the covers so we actually sleep with separate blankets now. It works out a lot better so he isn't woken up in the middle of the night shivering with nothing...lol.

I would never sleep in another bed on a regular basis though.

IMO i think this is a stupid idea. DH only slept in second bedroom when he was sick.

I can't sleep if he is not next to me.

We only sleep seperate if someone is really sick. Sometimes DH will snore/breathe really loudly and I will elbow him. I wake up and he is flipped so his face is by my feet I hate not having him next to me though
