Share your best 'worst boss EVER!!!' story

Several years ago, I was working at a school in the city. The director was my boss. Well anyway, I was scheduled to go to a conference one morning, but I had to stop at work first. It was her birthday and the staff had chipped in to buy her a gift and I had to drop it off.

Well, it was a terrible, windy, rainy, freezing day in March and by the time I walked from the train into work, I looked like a mess-my hair was a wreck and I didn't have any makeup left on my face. When my boss saw me in the hallway, she screamed at me (in front of parents, teachers, children, and the bookeeper), 'YOU CANNOT REPRESENT MY SCHOOL LOOKING LIKE THAT. Go put some makeup on RIGHT NOW, You look like someone abused you!'

Needless to say, I don't work for her anymore.

HOLY MOLY! Thats sooooo bad lmao. What a beast! Should have hit her with a piece of cake lol. i feel a lil better now..at leats mine only mmm hmms me to death-condescending witch!

yeah, well, i student taught in a class in oceanside, and i was so sick one week, but i stuck it out and went anyway, even thought i hated my teacher. she was so full of herself. like 80 pounds, always eating only yogurt saying she was so full from it, and hated th ek ids in her class. she was so mean to them. so anyways, i was sick and sneezing one day and i sneezed and covered my mouth with my hand. WELL!!!! She stopped the class of kindergartners, and says 'class, can we show miss michelle how we sneeze and cough into our arms??'. and they all proceeded to cough and sneeze into their arms. she says 'this way is more germ friendly'. UGH!!!!!!!!

umm, i forget, theyre numbers, the schools. i think it was #4 or 9maybe? im not sure... she was such a bit^&!!!!

I had a boss who was both paranoid and self-absorbed..... he thought people were breaking into his office and reading his emails...

soooo, one day, hit paranoia peaked and he actually accused my friend (his personal secretary) of breaking and entering late one night. He claimed he had 'proof'. Problem is, she, her daughter, and I were on vacation in PARIS at the time. That visa stamp is pretty irrefutable proof that she was in france, not the office at the time

he didn't care. He actually installed a camera and videotaped her every move in the office a week after we returned from vacation. She quit within a month

I used to work as an accountant for a huge hospital in the city. Our head boss who was the VP used to walk around cube by cube, office to office and hallway to hallway by 8:55 to 9:10. When she found out that you're not at work; at your cube or office by exactly 9AM, she will call you in her office and start nagging for 15-20 minutes.

One day, it was raining so hard and lot of subway were delay...95% of her staff (me included) were late. She spent the whole day bitching to every employee.

I used to work for a woman who I considered a friend, she helped me get the job and everything. Then she got sick (I didnt know, she didnt tell me, i was told by our boss) and she stopped talking to me at work for no reason. Her, being the supervisor, obviously needed to communicate with me to keep the department running smoothly and I complained to her about it but she said 'so?'. I went over her head to the big boss and the big boss told me she was ill and to 'give her time and keep trying to get her to open up to you, ask her to go out after work or something'. I did keep trying but i did give up and told the boss that if it didnt stop i'd leave. I never had to because the woman who was once a friend of mine turned into dr jekyll and was ultimately fired for doing something heinous to a patient ( i work in healthcare!!). I haven't spoken to her since, but much later on she sent me a crazy *** email about 'I'm surprised you didnt back me up' (when she was getting fired). HELLO!!
