thanks! mom kept nagging me to 'grow up and stop buying ikea' (We LOVE Ikea stuff becuase its modern yet affordable, and it's everywhere in our place).

so fine, we decided to get the real deal... now, she complained we spent too much It was soooo much fun going to Design Within Reach and sitting on all the chairs I've been staring at for years online

Wow Caroline - thats an awesome purchase...I'm a big Nikon fan. I'm currently have Nikon D200 and can't wait for the Nikon 300. It should be available this month. My dad wants to get it for us in Japan for 230K yen but I rather wait and get it in the US.

Have fun taking a lot of photos.

We are in the process of buying a new roof - the roofing guys are at the house as we speak (or type)

This isn't our roof, but it's the type of roofing, we have a low-pitch roof

I'm so excited, this is my first digital SLR. I have an old Pentax ZX50 film SLR... Ive been wanting a digital for so long. I figrued this one is a good *starter*. The NikonD300 is probably too much camera for me... but knowing me I will upgrade within a year or 2... haha its a sickness.

Caroline I am SOOOO jealy right now! I'd love a digital SLR camera - I had my eye on the Canon EOS digital and a couple that we met on our honeymoon had just bought one for themselves as a wedding gift! My DH had told me that he had wanted to buy me a camera as my wedding gift but that he didn't think it was sentimental enough (what he did get me, a diamond cross that I've wanted forever, had me crying so he made a good choice) but maybe he'll consider it as a one year wedding anniversary gift?? lol

Enjoy your new camera!!!

OMG I WANT THAT! we need a new camera so bad and next time we buy one I want a real one! My ex had a Nikon digital SLR and it took amazing photos!! It wasn't the one pictured, his camera was larger. It pretty much does the work for you! I think he loved his camera more than he loved me... seriously... why do you think he's my ex?
