I know this depends on your pictures and how many you get in your albums, but did you put a lot of reception pictures in the albums? There were a lot of pics w/ us w/ friends. They are really nice, but I don't think they are exactly album worthy (we keep our proofs and can look at them when we want). DH and I were going over the proof to try to figure out what pics we wanted. I wanted to concentrate mainly on the pre-ceremony, ceremony, and pics taken during the CH. Of course I want pics of the cake cutting, father-daughter dance, reception entrance. DH kept saying I was not choosing enough reception pics and choosing too many artsy pics. I have to narrow my choices from 90 (narrowed down rom 500) to 45. Having a hard time and the clock is ticking.

Re: Silly photo album question
not really...I put some pictures that included us with either family or bridal party members...Most of my reception pictures are the toast, our first dance, mother-son dance, father-daughter dance, mother-daughter dance and cake cutting

Re: Silly photo album question
It is definately hard - most of mine were key points in the reception as well - no candid's

Re: Silly photo album question
Sounds hard bc you are restricted by # of pics. I did a mix page with 5 fun pics of friends and family dancing/toasting/drinking for our 2nd to last page...

Re: Silly photo album question
i focused more on pics of me and DH rather than our guests for reception pics. we, too, have our proofs and we can look at them whenever. we have 2 pages of reception/dancing pics and its my favorite in our book... also from our reception, we have pages of our entrance, special dancing pics, cake cutting.

I'm going thru the same problem. I have decided to focus on cake cutting, father-daughter dance, reception entrance...etc. Like you said, you get to keep the proof and look at them anytime. Good luck!

Re: Silly photo album question
We did a two page layout in our magazine style album that has about 14 candids from the reception. Out of those about 6 have me and DH in them. Then we have all the traditional reception pics on different pages.

Re: Silly photo album question
I have no idea how my photographer is designing my album. It is magazine style and they do all the designing themselves. But, I had 100 pictures. I really divided everything up equally. Portraits of us, bridal party, family, ketubah signing, ceremony, and a lot from the reception, such as hora dance, cake cutting, a few friend tables with us popped right in the middle, a few big family shots, mine and DH's first dance, bouquet toss, and a lot of fun friend shots (with DH and I in them ) There were a lot of pics where DH and I looked really good standing with all of our friends, so I put them in. I didn't put any pics of our friends or family alone (except one with my mom and dad), but they are in it a lot because they are surrounding us. We didn't add in pictures of objects alone, such as cake alone or invite, so maybe that freed up some space.
ETA: We didn't have a lot of artsy pics of the two of us, so that could also explain why we had room for a lot of varied reception shots.
