So I had a bunch of FM's about Elf on Broadway and figured I'd post my take on it here.
First off, I'm going to say that Will Ferrell is one of my favorite actors (when I'm in the mood for an a-hole movie) and Elf is one of my favorite Christmas movies ever.So I wasn't sure what to expect when I went to see it on Broadway this past weekend - I'm not a big fan of taking a movie and adapting it for the stage, and vice-versa.
I really was surprised! I thought it was charming, really, really, sweet, and it completely put me in the holiday spirit. The sets are AMAZING. Choreography is really great as well. Best part: they adapted the movie to the stage pretty well BUT the actor playing Buddy didn't try to act like Will Ferrell-as-Buddy. The costumes are so friggin' cute, too.
I will say though...the prices for this show are STEEP. It's a limited run, so they tend to do that with short-runs. If you're planning to go, do some research and look for some promo/discount codes before ordering.

So glad you liked it!!! Our family friend Sebastian is starring as Buddy!! We will hopefully be seeing it sometime this month!!

What seats did you have? Is it a big theater? Just wondering if the cheaper seats would still be okay to see from

We went this past weekend too!!! it really was great!!!! we had a good time!!!! the tix are expensive ut i found them on on some webiste and got a promotional offer.... we paid 90 a ticket which was cheap!!!! they are usually over 100 each.the theater is small. so if you are planning on going i wuld hustle quick!!!
it was totally worth it!!!

Thanks for the review. I am extremely excited for next friday. I cant wait I love the movie ELF. My friends and I are totally pumped to kick off the holiday season with some ELF.
