SO I'm wondering where everyone is at..

Who here misses planning a wedding?

Who doesn't?

And why?

Seriously I am in total shock that I don't miss it-everyone said I would be depressed and 'what are you gonna do with yourself once the wedding is over?' I feel like our wedding was the most amazing day of my life, but that I really love being married and not planning something. Almost 5 months later I can truly say that ever since we got home from the honeymoon, there hasn't even been 1 day that I've missed it or been sad that it was over. And it's funny because I'll read the 10 boards once in a while and feel like 'wow I'm so glad I don't have to worry or obsess about what they're going through'.

Am I alone here?
Where is everyone at with this?

Even though I loved planning and I did feel a little sadness after the wedding, Im totally pass that! I have other things to look forward to like our upcoming cruise in July for our first anniversary and trying to have a baby in the next year or so.

I LOVED planning our wedding and I was a little sad that it was over because it was the best day ever but I feel like there are other things to look forward to now with DH that don't nvolve our wedding, ya know?
I am also working part time with a DOC and helping two of my best friends with their weddings so i still get to 'plan'

I miss it a little, but am also unemployed - so i have no other distraction atm...

But my cousin is getting married this May 29th so Ive been helping her mom w/a lot of vendor stuff as well as looking into changing careers to do wedding/event planning f/t - so we'll see....

I liked planning it, but I don't like being the center of attention, and I like having 100% of my thinking capabilities back when I'm working again.

I was a little sad for the first week or so after we got home from the HM but not anymore. I LOVED our wedding and it was the most amazing day but I would NOT want to plan another wedding.

I've been enjoying married life so much. We've been doing a lot of work on our apartment and still have more to do. And we're ttc so there is still plenty going on to keep me busy!

totally don't miss it! it was such a stressful time b/c I planned everything while out-of-state. I do miss the actual wedding day and honeymoon though

I dont miss planning MY wedding. I just realized through the process how much I love planning weddings in general so I am having a blast planning my friends and i love being the go to girl with questions

I was depressed for a few months... probably until about Christmas. But now we're buying a house so I have a new obsession to replace wedding planning!

I thought I would miss it, but I honestly don't at all. I LOVE being able to do whatever we want, whenever we want - not having to run around going to vendor appointments or stuff envelopes. I feel much more relaxed now and we're just loving hanging out and seeing where life takes us!

I HATED planning the wedding. Me and DH fought so much, we pretty much hated each other for a year and a half, so I'm really glad that's behind us. I wish some of the circumstances of our wedding day was different, so I have the regrets because it rained, our morning schedule was all messed up, wish I could have gotten some more pictures outside, etc...so in that sense I wish I could go back, but certainly not planning it. We're now fighting over writing the thank you cards and picking the album pictures and booking the Greece HM, so I've got my hands full enough with that.

I still miss it. I loved being busy and i have always been the planner. I have some friends getting married so I am helping them.

Actually, my ex just got engaged and I am helping him out too as odd as that sounds.

Since we lived together and had a house before we got married, we didn't have all that new stuff to deal with.

And we are not ready to TTC yet, so I am just focusing on work and doing my album and stuff.

We still are waiting for our video!! We knew it would take a while!!

But honestly, right now my life has been a nightmare this past week, I would love to have any kind of happy distraction. I can't wait to go to back to work tomorrow.

I dont miss it one bit.....hated it when I was doing it and am so happy for it to be over. Dont get me wrong I loved my wedding but I am not a typical girl that planned her wedding from birth. I would have been just as happy in vegas getting married by Elvis in jeans and a tshirt

I'm not missing it at all, I planned all the big things in the first 6 months of our engagement so that I wouldn't have to do alot of things for the next year, wedding planning wasn't that fun for me and towards the end it got overwhelming so I was very happy for the day to finally come.

But now my sister, who got engaged a year after I did, has finally picked a date, which happens to be in 2010, so I have been thrown right back into wedding planning with her to get things done

I think because we had SO MANY weddings last year that once ours was over, I was relieved.

Im not sure if im sad that its over- We had originally wanted a small private wedding because the wedding aspect really didnt mean much to us, just the marriage part did.... and so I guess the only thing Im bummed about is us HAVING to have the big to-do.

Although I did enjoy every minute, I still think we would be just as happy if we had done it the way we wanted... ten people on a beach

Although mr.groomzilla misses the planning

i miss it a little... but we had such a beautiful day, i love to relive it in pictures and the video trailer (can't WAIT for the video)!!! but i don't know if i'd want to do it again, though i did LOVE planning it! i don't have a FT job right now, so there's little distraction...and i wish i was helping to plan someone else's wedding now! lol but overall, i'm okay with it being over...more than anything, rather than planning it all, i wish we were back to that day so i could relive the wedding and honeymoon over again...now THAT i miss!!
