Congrats on the new job. I used to be in the same predicament - when we bought our house, I was commuting to NYC (from the Syosset/Oyster Bay area) and it was long and tiresome. I did eventually find a job on LI and I am loving it!!

Hauppauge is not too-too far from me.... About 1/2 hour. My DH's family is from there - hubby is a graduate of Hauppauge HS!!

Me, JennRenee and Anna are in the Smithtown area - so we are not too far, and Michele31 is in Ronkonkoma, so she's nearby too.
