Re: So since the wedding planning is over with..

I've been obsessed with house shopping!
I should be obsessed with writing my papers for grad school but it's not as much fun.

Re: So since the wedding planning is over with..

Well.....................................I haven't given it much thought?

I'm actually really glad to NOT be planning something. DH and I want to just 'stand still' for a while..

I wil say I cooked an awesome dinner for my hubaroo tonight-our first night home as a married couple!!

SO I guess the hobbies that I'l focus on are:
Cooking
Reading a book (I had Wedding ADD all year)
Exercise
Selling our apartments/buying a house

But on the serious side my hobby has been job searching - not a hobby I hope I dont have to continue through the winter, but God willing something will turn up soon (*fingers crossed*)

Re: So since the wedding planning is over with..

Working on the house feels like a full time job. We are probably about two weeks away from having our bedroom done and about three weeks from my being able to move stuff into it. Although its hard since DH is away a lot for work and the last week or so I have been mostly stuck on the couch with a medical issue, so I have taken up LIW crafts... cookbooks, collages, etc. And finishing my canisters, hopefully they will be done tomorrow in between doctors appointments. Next is Thank You Notes.

Re: So since the wedding planning is over with..

I'm applying to graduate school. I feel like there's always going to be something and I wish I had time more hobbies! If I get into school, there I'll be planning for the move, then in school, then we want to have kids right after that. I won't have free time until I retire.

I wish I could learn to knit, though.

Re: So since the wedding planning is over with..

We’ve been house hunting but I find it SUPER frustrating so that’s become more of DH’s hobby than mine.

Ummm… does playing hours upon hours of Bejeweled Blitz on FB count as a hobby?

Re: So since the wedding planning is over with..

DH has a ton of hobbies and I know hes happy to get back to them instead of wedding planning... although I do catch him watching some wedding shows still LOL!

But for me... I started a business...its more work then a hobby but I love it!
And since I just moved to a new area I was thinking about taking dance classes again....just have to do a little research.

Also... my family is big on pictures. I have boxes and boxes of pictures that I have been dying to put in chronological order and make some nice albums out of them... I know thats going to take forever!

Re: So since the wedding planning is over with..

I've been wanting to take dance lessons! i danced for almost 10 years at Norma's School of Dance in Bethpage. the adult class members were called 'Normettes' I always wanted to be a Normette!!!!! sadly, i think the classes began in sept and run through june...and with the wedding, it was impossible... instead, i'll focus on decorating my new house and hopefully getting preggo!

Re: So since the wedding planning is over with..

My focus has been shifted to trying to finish my PhD. Not as much fun as wedding planning. DH and I are also planning to continue taking dance lessons together...we had so much fun! I also want to get back to the gym and start hiking again.

Working slowly on getting my BSN and becoming a nurse. And I got a pretty awesome DSLR and signed up for a photography class for fun. Now I can't find a minute to myself between work and school

Re: So since the wedding planning is over with..

I feel like I have nothing do.
Between finishing my PhD in May and now with the wedding over, I don't know what to do with all my free time.
I like cooking and it's been nice to have time to focus on that. Plus looking for job has taken up a lot of my time.
I am back to ballet class as well and need to get my *** to the gym.

Knitting is so relaxing and becomes second nature. It's also easy to learn. So it's perfect if you can multitask - knit while reading your text books!
