Besides the regular wedding stuff (actually getting married, the ring exchange, first kiss, the dress, dance ect) what were some events/conversations that happened at your wedding that you will never forgot? You know the ones that pop up and make you smile every time you think of them?

The pastor left without signing and taking the marriage license. I can laugh about it now, because it was quickly corrected, but oh man was I pissed!

For some reason, the pastor finished the vows and blessing and FORGOT to say 'You may kiss the bride'! DH and I were sort of looking at each other puzzled but were just standing there going along. So the photographer yells out 'KISS HER!!!' and of course everyone was roaring with laughter :) The funny thing is, the 'wedding kiss' picture turned out really nice, you would never know it was sort of forced!

We had DH's sister sing 'can you feel the love tonight' - she has a gorgeous voice. Once that was over, DH surprised me by singing 'She's Got A Way'! Only he and the band knew about it. It was the best moment ever.

A friend of ours was talking to dh and taking lots of pics, then he accidentally recorded some of the wedding on his digital camera...when he gave us the pics on cd I watched the video clip and overheard dh saying in the background how tonight was the happiest night of his life! It made me feel so good that he said that to someone at our wedding without me being right there...guys dont usually talk like that. LOL

I have a touching one and a funny one...
On the way to the church my dad reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out one of the 'It's a Girl' cigars that he gave out when I was born. He had it in his pocket the whole day.
When DH and I were lighting the unity candle my taper fell out of the candle holder (lit) and onto the altar. I gasped and didn't realize there was a microphone right there and the whole church just chuckled as I picked it up and gave a shrug and an OH $#%* face!

One really special moment that was the most emotional that day was right after the wedding ceremony, the whole bridal party and in laws (siblings) etc. all were in the bridal suite, the maitre d' had just popped us a bottle of champagne and everyone just broke into tears of joy as my husband and I were being congratulated, My husband and his brother were crying and my DH NEVER Cries-he had to step out of the room - it was soooo touching and the love that everyone gave us was amazing!!

Re: So we all had fabulous weddings, this we know!
two of mine:
We started to line up ready to go down the isle when we realized my grandmother was not there yet, I was lined up in a spot where if people came in they could see me, so the bridal attendant turned to my father and I and asked if I would like to go back into the suite almost immediately and in a rather loud and definitive voice my father said ?YES!? We walk back and go into the room, my father puts each of his hands on each of my shoulders and looks in my eyes, I am preparing for some kind of advice, or great life lesson or something! Instead he says ?Let?s chug mimosa?s? So we did, and I had champagne giggles through my whole wedding ceremony!
We had the ceremony outside, so we put glass hurricane lamps around the unity candle and the taper candles. The morning of the wedding we learn that the tapers are higher than the glass so we need to cut them down. But of course whoever cuts them, cuts them wrong which we of course did not know. We proceed with the ceremony when all of a sudden we hear this large pop and this odd sound. The taper leaned against the glass while lit and shattered the whole thing! Our minister was great though, he made a comment ?nothing can contain the fire of your love on your wedding day? everyone laughed and we moved on.

my youngest brother and sister were the first in BP to walk down the isle...the cantor at the church told them to go...my mother and mil were not even in line yet..my brother had gum on his shoe and dragged the runner with him..then my mother and mil look at me like when do they go down the isle..I told them go now..no one was there to walk my mother down the aisle..she asked the limo driver..he said no...then my mother did not want to break up the bridal party..and I am yelling at this point..well you can't go after the bride go now or don't go at all, my father gives me a look for yelling at my mother..it was a mess.lol..it made for a very funny wedding video

gotta say mine would be my bridal party getting drunk and flirting with one another. there were comments flying around about breast, butts (a few of the girls where showing some of their stuff off).. I couldn’t believe it at the time but now it makes me laugh. I was glad they had a good time.

That's so sweet!!!
It just goes to show how much little girls mean to their daddy's Seriously, I looked up the lyrics to Butterfly Kisses the other day and as cheesy as that song is, it makes me cry EVERY time!

When I was walking down the aisle at the church, I couldn't see DH at all until I got to almost the very end, so I never got to see the expression on his face when he first saw me and I was pretty disappointed about that (although in retrospect, it kept me from turning into a big bawling baby!)
Marie from Wild Rose got it on video though, and at the cocktail hour she showed it to me through her camera. When DH saw me, his mouth dropped open and his eyes were as big as saucers! It was a typical DH-type expression

Re: So we all had fabulous weddings, this we know!
One of the most emotional parts of the day for me was when we pulled up in the limo and my brother was standing outside the church by himself waiting for me. It was very emotional b/c my Dad has passed. My brother and Mom walked me down the aisle.
I was a nervous wreck to walk down the aisle. When they opened up the doors all I saw was one of my good friends crying hers eyes out with a big wad of tissues under nose. It looks like I am hyper ventilating in the video. I was trying so hard not to cry. I look like I am being forced down the aisle.

Re: So we all had fabulous weddings, this we know!
Oh god, I have so many. The one that tops my list is when I had the father-daughter dance. I adore my father; always have and I always will. He's the kindest, sweetest, most unpretentious, giving person on the planet. But, he's not one to show emotions. I've NEVER, EVER seen him cry. So, while we were dancing, my dad starts tearing up and says that he's trying his hardest to keep himself together... it really, really touched me, and when the song ended, I started bawling!! The photographer took pictures of it, of course.
Oh, and the second moment - DH is a lot like my father... a wonderful, wonderful person, but he's also not one to show emotions. I've never seen him cry. But, when I was giving my vows, I saw him tearing up, and he had to look down for a second to compose himself. I loved it
Matron, my MOH, said some really, really, really sweet things to me in a state of drunken euphoria, so to spare her embarrassment, I won't repeat... but I remember

Re: So we all had fabulous weddings, this we know!
I started crying so hard when my husband and mother were dancing (my two favorite people in the world) that my MOH comes over to me and lifts the front of her dress up and says 'here, do you wanna use this to wipe'. An employee of my husband's actually caught the moment on the DVD he made us
Right before my never-shows-any-emotion father walks me down the aisle, his eyes swelled and he goes 'Nikki my legs are shaking'. I assured him that he IS going to make it down the aisle but it was sooo hard to smile because he was crushing my arm!

Re: So we all had fabulous weddings, this we know!
When I went to the Liweddings table. I was so glad they all came.
And when it rained and I had a conversation with one of my friends who had said that was my grandma who passed, giving me her blessing. My grandma LOVED the rain. And it waited after we had taken our last picture outside.
Also when my neighbor came over and said my grandma was looking over me today.
She so badly wanted to see me get married.

I have so many.......
*my dad is SUPER EMOTIONAL and cried pretty much the whole day. By the end of the night we were all laughing at him. Of course I get the video back and you hear me say to my dad in the middle of the church 'Dad, you need to stop'.
*waiting in the lobby for the ceremony to start my limo driver jumps under my dress to fix my crinoline. I said I was going to tell his wife and he turned to me and said, 'i'm going to tell your husband'
*gross but funny - my grandmother passed away years ago but my cousin brought me a piece of her headpiece that morning. When my grandfather came up to me at the receiving line I told him and he started bawling and got snot all over my shoulder. I didn't know b/c DH started asking everyone for tissues......its on the video and its hilarious.
*having DH turn to me in the middle of dinner and tell me how amazing the day was
*having all my friends and family in the same room
*having the most incredible bridesmaids ever
I could go on and on.........

Re: So we all had fabulous weddings, this we know!
Our small ceremony was in my Aunt's home. Well, we happened to schedule it during the BIG Jets playoff game and naturally everybody was disappointed. Before the ceremony, everybody was watching the game and when it came time for the ceremony, it was so close to half-time, that we decided to wait a bit. Most brides would be angry, but I thought it was really funny. We got married during half-time
