I do the cooking...but DH will cook breakfast for us sometimes...he does it so well! He'll help with other chores IF I ask him too. He's not one to pick up on hints or take initiative with cleaning (the same bag of garbage has been sitting in the hall for 4 days now!)

Same thing, My hubby has no problem doing things when asked but will never take the initiative and just do things. He always has to be TOLD what to do.

I can't stand the women that say 'my husband doesn't mind helping out around the house - HELLO - he shouldn't MIND, isn't his house and his responsibilities too?' he's not doing you a FAVOR by cleaning, he's doing his PART :)

just had to get that out :)

He will do his part when asked!!

As for cooking, he can barely boil water, so I do that, but he gets to do the dishes most nights then!!!

Re: So who does the cooking?

DH usually cooks during the week...he gets home first and dinner is usually ready or in the oven by the time I get home.

Re: So who does the cooking?

We share the cooking. I've been cooking more often though lately trying out some new recipes.

Re: So who does the cooking?

I usually love to cook and he washes the dishes. I don't want to have bologne sandwiches everyday. He is not very domestic and tries to help me around the house but doesn't do a good job. I am so tired to come home and do house cleaning.....Im looking for a person to come clean our home. :)

Re: So who does the cooking?

We both do - it depends on who is in the mood that night - I do often cook but I enjoy it - the best part of it is DH actually LIKES to clean so when I cook he is happy to do the dishes so it works perfectly

Re: So who does the cooking?

I love to cook and DH is learning to cook he is so enthusiastic about it I love it. We are both into food every Saturday night is about picking out a recipe and cooking together, while sipping vino. It is great.

As far as housework is concerned, he is such a neat freak that I don't have to worry about picking up after him. I can't even fold his laundry because it has to be folded oh so perfectly, his closet looks like the Gap when the store opens.
