Soooooo sad....

Our dog passed away this morning..

My husband came home from work this morning at 3 am. She had not been feeling well the last couple of days and we were going to take her to the vet today. He said she was fine when he got home, but 30 minutes later when he checked up on her, she was gone.

She was an old dog, but we loved her very much. She was my husbands dog and she was about 16 years old, so I guess her little heart just gave way.

Thanks ladies!!! I just feel so sad for my DH who with his grandfather (got rest his soul) picked her out from a shelter. She was such a great dog. Always well behaved and so very loving. She was DH's love. He trained her to do tricks and when she knew he was home she would always wait for him at the door to come in. When DH and I began dating she took to following me and looking for me to give her affection. DH knew from those interactions that I was the one for him coz even his dog loved me. She will be sadly missed..

tearjerker post. i remember when my childhood dog passed away - I was truly devastated and heartbroken. pets often become part of the family and it sounds like in this case she was a huge part! warm wishes as you get through this hard time!
