Speaking of babies...............

Original post by MJDoc12

haha no i'm not pregnant with a future nip sucker.

DH and i went to a baptism yesterday for a friend---when we got home--he said 'Seeing her with her baby, makes my biological clock tick, I want a baby.'

Its like I'm the guy sometimes. Cause I immediately felt the temperature in the apt. rise about 10000000 degrees. I said 'we have time babe' and he said 'I know--but I just feel like I want a baby soon.'

I immediately reached for my birth control pills and swallowed that bad boy.

I think THIS would be the all time best way & moment to come out of preggo hiding

Cause of all the 'drama' between moms & not-yet-moms

MJ would be crossing over to 'the other side'!

I thought you were coming out

Ooooooh, thats what the was for! LMFAO.

No effin' way! Still gettin' practice over here. No where near 'trying' much less 'succeeding'

First he was giving me laundry advice and now this........................................is he wearing a yellow and blue striped top .

I don't even need birth control I look at a baby's big round head and that is reason enough for me to 'wait a little longer'.

I have to say, DH and I were always on the 'whatever happens, happens' page as far as kids, we wanted them soon and well, we got one.

But I can't imagine how that convo must go in your guys' lives. Asking seriously, do you find that it puts a strain on your relationship or is it usually pretty lighthearted and understanding?

DH and i are on the same page also as far as not wanting them yet, but i've seen what it's done to my sisters' relationships and for some it's really stressful. not in the case of firsts though; my one sister wants a 3rd and my BIL is gung ho about getting a vasectomy and she's really sad BUT it took my other sister 7 years to break down her husband and lo and behold she's having a 4th next weekend! so i tell her to keep trying but she doesn't want to fight with him about it.

i can't imagine what i'd do in that situation.

Re: Speaking of babies...............

We both want to wait about 4-5 years (i have one year left of law school, we want to travel, etc). however, i noticed over the past 6 months that 'DH' has what I like to call 'babyfever.'

He's constantly pointing out cute babies when we're in public and commenting on them -- and eventually admitted that he does have slight 'fever' but that he still wants to wait to have kids. I'm like you -- I definitely want to wait!!!! Especially after an obnoxious 4 year old screamed and cried during most of our 5 hour flight yesterday, and then a baby cried for an hour of our connecting flight.

I'm happy with our cats for the moment..

Amen to that!! DH also has had baby fever the past year or so, whereas I get that roller-coaster feeling in my stomach (and not in the good way!) whenever I think about the responsibility!

Me and DH both want kids soon- but we are still both a little nervous about it and I keep saying lets just stay on birth control for another month so we can think about it a little longer. lol... I want kids so bad, but I know it is something that will totally effect us forever, though mostly in a good way. I feel like we are pretty much ready....but how do you know for sure if you are definatly ready??????
