For some reason the hand holding question made me think of hickey's!!

When was the last time you had one?

we don't actively try to give them to each other, but about 2 months ago DH got me good. i was so embarassed at work, esp since w/ the short hair and it being summertime, i had no way of hiding it. i tried to cover it up w/ makeup, but that did NOT work. i work for fairly conservative company too, so i was super embarassed. and yes, people did comment on it.

This was me too!! About a month after we got back from our honeymoon, DH accidentally gave me one... I had my sister's baby shower the next day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank goodness I have long hair!!!

no worries!! I'm not saying I like them.....and the one DH just gave me is actually not visible to everyone, lets just say its not on my neck

ITA. I actually liked getting them just hated the way they look after the fact. I don't think i've had one since like my second boyfriend so.... 1999??? ACK

DH is too conservative and lawyerly to give hickeys

they look ugly but .. I love the feeling of getting one if it is done right again - it has been a looooooooong time thou

Just the thought to me of what it actually IS - the breaking of your blood vessels...turns me off right away

DH gave me one when we first started dating. So Spring 2002 was the last time. Since then I have been very careful.

I only had the ones I gave myself on my arm when I was a kid My brother once had one and I remember being told if I ever came home with the mark of a tramp I would be grounded for life.

Also my dad referred to my brother's girlfriend as Hoover (as in the vacuum) for the rest of the time he dated her

I've never ever had a hickey on my neck- never was a fan and my mother would've killed me! I have had a few on my boobs in the past but its been well over 10 years since that even happened.

I think they are gross looking (like the dirty chick at the diner who had them all over her)

but it reminds me of when my friend gave them to her BF (now DH) and he was in the marines and got written up for defacing gov't property
