there aren't many divorces in my family or in Al's - there do seem to be a good number of happy marriages. Some had some difficulties, but came out stronger for it. There are a few that I look at and think maybe they'd be better off divorced, but who am I to say?

I think my aunt and uncle are married the longest of anyone I know. They're over 50 years. My parents are at 35, and Al's parents almost 41.

Most of everyone we know that is married have been that way for many years, including family.

I think I can name two friends that have been divorced, and one is now remarried.

There is no one in my family that has been divorced and while some of the couples (a few cousins) had some difficulties they all worked through it and are very happy now. My parents will be married 40 years this year and are great role models : ).

My parents have been married for 41 years and at our wedding, there were about 8 couples on the floor married more then 50 years!!! The DJ couldn't believe it was down to that many. The winning couple (my father's cousins) were married 58 years -- 60 this coming Oct!!!

My grandparents had been married for 51 years before my Grandpa passed away almost 3 years ago!

My parents are going to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary in march of this year! A little surprise party might be in order!

At my wedding we did the 'Anniversary Dance' and the couple who remained on the dance floor won the throw away bouquette and it went to the oldest married couple and this couple have been married for over 50 years...what a cute couple.
