I usually chat a few minutes just to be polite, but pass them off to DH as soon as I can without seeming rude...

We usually screen but if it's been awhile since we've spoken to them I'll pick up and talk for a few minutes then pass the phone to DH.

We have caller ID, so we each let the other one pick up when it is the other's parents...
We do this too and when one of us is not home to answer it we let the machine pick up.
We do the same thing.

We don't have caller ID, unless she calls one of our cell phones. If I answer, I'll chat with her for a bit (15 minutes or so) and then sometimes I pass the phone off to my husband, sometimes I don't. If my DH is not home, then sometimes we talk longer. I do have to admit, sometimes when she calls my cell phone, I don't always answer, but it is usually because I'm in the middle of something.
