SS CARD QUESTION..

SS CARD QUESTION..

ok so this is the last thing i hav to do..

did anyone mail in the form or di du all go there..would love to mail it in cause it wold be easier but i hate that i have to mail my original marriage license..they say they mail it back but im nervous

should i just go there or risk maing it?

I still have to go. I dont trust mailing it because of the fact that my area over here LOSES EVERYTHING

I would go in person though.. .just incase

You can always order another marriage license. If it's your last thing to do, it's not that big a deal.

I had two copies of our marriage license but I can't find one. No clue where it went! But when I had to get my passport, I mailed in the original I could find. They mailed it back 4 weeks later in exactly the same perfect condition it was in when I sent it.

I would imagine SS would be the same.

I went in to the office in Melville I think. Took an hour of waiting and it was done super fast. Got the new SS Card in the mail about 2-3 weeks later.

just go...go early in the morning...if you are there when they open it isn't too bad but do go later in the day...it is a nightmare!

i just went in person...it was really quick and easy and i didn't have to worry about mailing things and then them getting lost... i just bit the bullet and honestly, it was quick. hopefully it will be for you too!! :o)

i went to the ss office!
its right by my job, so i just scooted over there at lunch and did it. i would feel weird about mailing my original marriage licence too!

Gina, go to the office in Jamaica super early in the morning. I went at like 7:15 and was done by 7:25. It s*cks to go that early but it is soooo much more efficient!
