TEACHERS ONLY POLL

please disregard the last poll...typos...
obviously, it depends on the school district, level of education, public vs. private, but please tell me what you think the average teacher on LI/NYC makes...NOT including the wonderful benefits.....just the annual salary

Private school teachers in NYC make an average of 25,000 and thats GOOD. By private I mean Catholic school.

Public school in NYC makes I believe 45,000 starting salary now. At least thats what it last was when I looked into it last year. Might have increased a bit.I don't think yoru education level comes into play here in the city school unless you're going for administration. it might, but I don't think so because it is unuionized. However if you already have your masters maybe. You'd have to check into that.
