Thank you card question

I am absolutely convinced that MIL is going around to the people who didn't give us gifts and harassing them to send us money. How uncouth, right?

Anyway, we just received a card from someone who threw $30 in it and hastily, didn't even bother to write dear robyn and justin or sign it.

So here's my question: I already sent her a 'thank you for coming to my wedding' card a few months ago when the others went out but now that she gave something, do I have to send another TY? I don't care one way or the other, but will it look weird if I send a second card?

I would send them another TY and thank them for the lovely gift

If you already sent them one with your picture in it then I would just send them a generic TY to thank them for the gift. You can say something about being 'pleasantly surprised' so they know it wasn't you getting your MIL to harass them.
