Could you please share with me how far from the wedding you got your thank yous out??...
I got married in September, got the Thank yous in Jan, and between work and misc other life things I just finished them all... My DH says we are so late..I didnt think we are that late..I am just so embarassed if we are...Thank you in advance....

I had my TY's out three months after our wedding b/c i wanted to get them over with. But everyone is different...and due to certain circustances some take longer to send them out than others, dont worry and dont feel embarassed, atleast theyre done!

As I understand it, 3 months is what the etiquette books suggest. BUT I can say a high percentage of us are late, for various reasons!!! I got a friend's TY 8 months after the wedding; I didn't care though, heck there are some brides who NEVER get them out!!!

I'm doing mine now and we were married almost 5 months ago. In my defense, I have 180 to write so I'm doing 10 a night!

I got all but 3 out before the 3 month mark. I just didn't want to have them hanging around anymore and my mother was bugging me about them. She thought they should have been out 3 weeks after the wedding, but there was no way that was going to happen.
I think you are fine! You'd be amazed at how many people never send a thank you note!

I got married in September too and I send mine out the first week in January also. My plan was to get them out before Thanksgiving but that didn't work out....then with Hanuakah and Christmast shopping December was completely out!

I'm right there with ya. I got most of them out at 6 months. I still have 15 more that will hopefully get out next week so don't feel bad. I am just so bad at keeping track of things, spelling of peoples names, who attended & who didn't but gave a gift. When I got invites returned because of the wrong address I never corrected them so the same ones got returned for the TYs. It's a big mess.

i had them out in about two months. . .i had about 120 to write and i did them in 3 sittings. Once you actually sit down and start them I promise its not so bad!

I'm only ordering mine now by the time they're done and filled out, you're probably looking at another month, so that will be a little over 7 mths from the wedding, better late than never!

3 months. I did a few each week & sent them out as I went along. It wasn't as bad that way.

i got married in Oct, and they were all out 2nd week of December. But I'm anal when it comes to things like this and I did them on my own so no waiting for the photog.
Don't sweat it, all that counts is that you send them! I went to a weddign Jan 2007 just got the ty last month 14 months later. When we got it, we said at least we got one
