Thank you question...an afterthought..

I sent my thank yous out (of course late) and then after I thought...'Are you supposed to send one to vendors?' I remember seeing some at my reception hall from other couples and at my florist too. Did any of you ladies do this? If it shows appreciation, than I would like to do so. If you did, who did you send to?

Re: Thank you question...an afterthought..

We sent them to the vendors we really appreciated. They were an afterthought for us as well and went out about 6 months after the wedding.

We sent them to the photographer, catering hall, the invitation/accessory people and our DJ. We dont have our video yet (soon though ) so we will probably send one to them after we get it.

Re: Thank you question...an afterthought..

I sent a small note to a few vendors were were really thrilled with, but not all. We loved our DJ, gave him a nicer tip than planned, but didn't send a TY. We did to my florist and hall though.

Re: Thank you question...an afterthought..

I sent them to some but not all. I also sent them later than all my regular thank yous...just due to lack of time and not making it a priority. I laugh because LIW girls have found my thank-yous and told me in my vendors offices!

Re: Thank you question...an afterthought..

on that same note though, I was actually a little surprised some vendors didn't call or follow up with us afterwards to make sure we were in fact satisfied. Like my florist, I loved her to death and was thrilled with my flowers, but I didn't see her the day of, and for all she knew, I was disappointed. I figured someone like that who we had no communication with on our wedding day would have followed up and sent US a note.

Who knows though!

Re: Thank you question...an afterthought..

We actually got a letter and survey from our DJ company asking how we felt about the performance, etc. That's the only vendor that contacted us.

We did stop by our florist the day after to thank him personally because we felt he did such an amazing job and was an absolute pleasure to work with. So he didn't have a chance to wonder.
