THANK YOU'S - What to write in them?

I need some help/suggestions with writing out thank yous.

If Thank you cards already have a saying in them - do you still need to write in them?

Then what do you write? Because what ever I was going to say was similar to what card says already and I don't want it to sound redundant

Is there a website that has suggestions or anyone on LIW?

I wrote something personal in all of mine. I mentioned something about the gift or thanked them for traveling...

I used Verse It for some suggestions and then changed their sayings to my own words.

ETA: once you go there, click on thank you's, then wedding

I would still write something personal even if there is already wording.

For the wedding - I thanked them for the generous gift, sharing in our day, it was great to see you, thanks for traveling, etc.

For the shower - I thanked them for the gift, mentioned how great/beautiful it was and how I can't wait to use it (make DH dinner, set the table for the holiday, put in my wedding photos, etc

I tried to make them as personal as possible but I usually ended up writing to everyone thank you for your generous gift; something about the gift; thank you for joining us for our wedding celebration; we felt so privileged to have so many people we love be able to join us for the occasion and it meant so much to us to have them there, and then one more thank you.
