Thank you wordings
How can I word a 'thank you' for someone that attended the wedding with a gift?I never know what to put.
'Thank you for attending the wedding and for your generous gift'.....sounds so 'standard'.
Thanks!

Re: Thank you wordings
i always thanked the person first for being there...saying something about how we hoped they enjoyed thier time there, or how special it was that they were there, or how we loved being able to celebrate our new marriage with them......and then i thanked them for the gift - if it was an actual item, i mentioned it specifically.....like if it was a vase, i would say thank you for the beautiful vase, it looks lovely displayed in our new home....something like that.
a lot of the cards were a bit cheesy and sappy, but i wanted to make them personal and people seemed to appreciate it
