The further it gets from the wedding...

the more I miss wedding planning! DOn't get me wrong I LOVE being married but I guess it was all last year getting excited looking forward to it, much more things to look forward to in the future but none in the immediate future so I am feeling blah. (also think it's start of semester stress, DH's crazy band schedule, etc.) I know I just need to savor all the moments more with DH!! Anyone else feel this way?

After we came home from CT for our mini-honeymoon, I was very upset and depressed I felt like I was missing out on something and had nothing to do! I still get a little sad. I told DH the other day that I wanted another big event to plan for - but that won't be for a year, minimum.

However, it's just under 5 weeks before we leave for our real honeymoon in Italy!! So that's something to look forward to.

Sometimes.....but I only miss being the special person in the room, the bride to be. I certainly dont miss the stress of planning!

I feel exactly the same way. I told DH I am going post partum wedding depression No but seriously, I miss being the bride to be, that special girl. I don't know I just hope I get over this feeling soon though

Not me. Engagement year was the hardest/worst year of my life. It was rift with stress and anxiety felt b/w DH and me, my mom and me, his mom and me, his mom and my mom....the list goes on and on. We couldn't get through one week without a HUGE blow out fight. The wedding was beautiful - a dream come true. I loved being a bride but also feel extremely uncomfortable beign the center of attention - I'm curious about those brides that devoted their entire life to planning their wedding! Thank goodness we have more of a sense than to do that.

I feel like that too, I think thats why Im still on liw all the time cuz it helps keep me in the wedding mode! DH thinks Im crazy and keeps reminding me that Im married already!

I miss it too. I go over to the other boards and miss posting about the new things I made and seeing my dress etc. I feel like I have nothing to offer except advice.

I was kind of sad when we got home from the honeymoon too!! Not that I really missed planning but something was missing!!! So I know what you mean!!

I miss the excitement and thrill of the day. But I don't miss all the work. I was the Maid or 'matron of Honor' at my friends 9/18/05 wedding and I did so much to help her out because of the experience I had with my own wedding. It brought back lots of wonderful memories, but I was mentally and physically exhausted after. I'm retiring from weddings for awhile!
