My best friend used to work at an urban fashion office which was super casual (she could wear jens, sneakers etc....), now she works for a VERY corporate fashion office and has to dress the part.
So how do you have to dress for work? Does your office have a dress code??
My office is ridiculously laid back. I'm a designer and work in our NY design office. There are only 5 people in our office but most days only 3 of us. I can wear sweat pants to work if I wanted to! I usually don't; my normal work clothes are jeans or leggings. If I have meetings or it's market week I'll wear cute skirts and dresses. In the summer on a normal day I'll wear short shorts and a tank.

I can go either way. Today I'm wearing my 'pride of Astoria' school tshirt, jeans and uggs. But a lot of time I do actually dress up.

I don't technically just work in an office.......
But basically I have to show up for work dressed to the nines every day...think 'Devil Wears Prada'.
We can wear jeans but they have to look super tailored and fashion forward.
We have to be perfectly manicured, full makeup, hair styled (no roots) every day.
And when we have regional meetings, it's a battle of the Louboutins and Chloe bags..and who has the best outfit.
Which is why on my off days I wear pajamas

I would never be able to work there.....I'm lucky if I wear makeup 6 times a year and have roots 90% of the time!!!
