Traveling with Maiden name question-Cruises

Even if you have a marriage license, can you still book your travels and cruises w/ your maiden name no matter how long you've been married? Eventually I will change mine, when I get the time that is.

Travel agent did it for me saying as long as tixx and boarding passes match passport name, it's good. (never had problem at airports)
I will carry offical marriage cert for safe-keeping anyway bc my DL is updated. That was up for renewal at the time of my marriage.

Also, cruise line asks for marital status upon online check in so I gave them married even though I never did the entire name change, just DL. I got worried for a sec that something would 'pop up' saying to check. DH laughed saying I'm making a big deal out of nothing.

as long as your travel docs match your name on your passport/id then you are fine.
