So, DH and I just completely renovated our bedroom. We painted, cleaned the rugs, bought new furniture, comforter set, etc. Well, the TV we had in there was old so we threw it out. Now Im kind of liking the room with no TV in it. We are going to discuss it tonight and see if we really should get one or not. Do all of you have TVs in the bedroom?

In the 5.5 years i have been with DH we have never once watched TV in the livingroom together.
We just always get into bed and watch tv, we are not livingroom people at all, but we have a tv in our living room lol

Yes, and I regreted not having one when I broke mine. DH and I have big tvs and when we moved in together, mine was bigger so it went in the living room, but his is still very big for the bedroom.

I can't sleep without a TV on at all times - it's horrible. When I visited my cousin last year and slept on her couch, her DH turned the TV off in the middle of the night, and I think I woke up before he was out of the room. So, a TV in the bedroom is a necessity.

personally i do not think a tv belongs in the bedroom - i like the way a room looks without one.....with that said - we have a big *** tv in our room we got it b/c it was on sale after the holidays - i think its a 36 inch - but when we buy our bedroom furniture for the house the tv is going in an armoire - that was the compromise between DH and I
or you can get one to put on the wall, thats what we have. It doesnt take up any space
yes that is the kind of TV we have - an lcd flatscreen that you can put on the wall if you want - but i don't want to be able to see a tv at all - i want it hidden completely - i don't think electroncis belong in the bedroom - i think bedroom should be for sleeping, relaxing and intimate time - not glued to the TV.....BUT i still do enjoy having the option to watch TV when i am in bed someday soon i can put it in a nice cabinet and it will be completely hidden and i will be Hopefully less TV time and more action
just bc its there doesnt mean you have to watch it there. We rarely watch tv in the bedroom, we watch alot of movies and prefer watching shows also in the LR. For me when im alone i'll watch it in the BR, bc i have the computer in the BR which i prefer, i dont like computers in the LR or around that area. So while im on the comp i watch tv. At night if im home alone i prefer to watch tv until i fall asleep. Not like the tv ever got in the way of intimate time in the BR lol, never like it was either watch tv or have intimate time lol. I also like to watch tv while i am getting dressed. At night we always watch in the LR so not like we're the couple who lay in bed watching tv until we fall asleep that rarely happens. We watch tv in the LR at night and when we go to bed we go to the BR and dont put the tv on. IF dh goes to sleep before me i watch tv in the LR or vice versa
or its good on the weekends when we wake up and still want to lay in bed and relax.

yep!! we need to fall asleep with the tv on!!
plus i LOVE cuddling up to DH in the morning on the weekends and watching tv for an hour or so before starting our day!!

We do not have a TV in our bedroom. I want that room to be as free and clear of the distractions the digital age as possible. We also do not have one in our kitchen because I feel that meal times are time for conversation and family.
We do have two TVs though - one in our living room and one in our office/man-room/second bedroom.

i agree... however i would love on in the kitchen so i could cook with some of those cooking shows!!

Well we ended up getting one after all. We figured it would be best for when DH wants to play video games in the LR. I also knew in like a month I would be regretting not putting a TV in there!

we have one and it is a constant fight. DH likes to have it on every night. I don't like to have it on when I am falling asleep. I think we should get rid of it to stop the fights. LOL I like it to watch other times, when I am sick, or before bed, but like to shut it off. I have to harass him to put the sleep timer on every night.
