Twitter question

For any of you who use it ... how do you respond to what someone said?? Do I just write in the update box like normal but put '@' and the person's name in the vert beginning???

Re: Twitter question

if you run the mouse over the coment they left on your page, icons pop up on the right... one is a little arrow which if you click on it, you can respond to them

I'm still not used to Twitter! B/c when you read responses they don't read properly.

Example: Look who joined Twitter! @jessicasimpson And, as usual, she doesn't have much of substance to say! Ha.

cool, thanks - i just responded to someone. so this is how you do it if you want to respond to something anyone said, not just responses to something you already said? like, if i wanted to respond to a post from a friend, that was NOT in response to anything yet - just a regular old post - i could still just mouse over it and the little arrow thing will come up?

I will try it anyhow but I wanted to ask ...

yes... thats right. the only thing i havent figured out is how you see your reply on the other person's page... b/c i've replied to different people and then clicked on their page and i dont see my reply... but when people reply to ME, i can see their reply on MY page... so i dont know, its a little

i signed up about a month ago and was all about it.. i quickly got bored with it so i dont go on all that often

Re: Twitter question

You can reply by clicking the little curly arrow or you can just type @someone's name. As far as the tiny url-it usually automatically does it for you. I actually have a program called tweet deck that you can customize and such-I like it because it's easier to update twitter/facebook at the same time plus there's specific areas for making a tiny url. It's free too. Here's a link if you want to check it out:
