Re: Ugh
I am in an M.S.Ed. in Rehabilitation Counseling program...1.5 years in, 1.5 years to go. Its not only that the work is insane, but looking at my reasoning for doing it, I'm just not sure its worth it to me anymore. I'm not worried about never going back if I want to...I left undergrad for a while and went back when I realized it would be beneficial to my future to finish the degree. If it really ends up that I need the masters I'll go back...but I was very happy doing what I was doing before, my only complaint was that I was not even making $10/hr...with my B.A. I will make more than that. Also with me stopping school it means that DH can start and once he gets his B.S. he will have the potential to make WAY more money than I could with my masters (makes me wanna punch him sometimes
)Thank you for all your advice and well wishes...it definitely helps to know that I'm not alone.

Re: Ugh
Grad school is so tough when you have an internship PLUS class. It is definitely a strain to do well at your job and on your papers/ exams. I was there so I know. Just don't let a bad internship push you out of the field. Some of my internships in grad school were not good and I love my work today. The actual experience or working minus academic pressues ( tests and papers) can definitely be a better expereince.Hang in there

Re: Ugh
I doubted myself so many times during nursing school! Don't let it get you down! I don't really know what your situation is, but in my case, my graduating class was really competitive with each other (no idea why) and loved to make me feel like I wasn't smart enough to be there & if I had listened to any of them, I wouldn't be as happy as I am today. I was a semester from graduation and feeling disheartened when my pharmacology prof told me 'Never lose sight of your goals, the only thing between you and your goals is yourself.'As for people saying it only gets harder...its still hard, but different. When we're in school, its nerve-wracking b/c you're still LEARNING, but once you're working with people, yes, the work is hard but by then we're more equipped to handle it.
Good Luck with whatever you decide to do. Eventually all the pieces will fall into place & the universe will unfold as it should.

Unfortunately any type of counseling degree requires an MA to make ANY type of $ (not that it's a lot even then). How long does your DH have until he completes his B.S.? My DH has a B.S. and makes more then I ever will unless I go for my Ph.D. Now I think THAT's B.S. lol.
