Erica, you sound let down Don't let it get to you. You never know. If this doesn't work out, opportunity will strike again.

Re: I could cry right now
hang in there - I really do believe everything happens for a reason. If it's meant to be, they'll call you back. If not, something else will come along once you're back from Spain
thanks liz...thats what I need to hear...I am a little let down...but I'm starting to justify why it will not be the right job for me...and I will work harder to find that right job...
they're the exact words I needed to hear...thanks again!!

Re: I could cry right now
I agree with Liz...your time will come.
Just to let you know how I got my job, if it helps you any...
I interviewed at one of the elementary schools in the district. I got called back for 2nd round (committee), but my spring break didn't coincide with theirs, and I couldn't make it because we were going away. I begged them to reschedule, but it was a one day deal. Well....... lo and behold, I get a call 2 weeks later that they forwarded my resume to a different school in the district, and bam, here I am 3 years later!!
I know it's rough, but hang in there! I'm sure a great job interview and offer is right around the corner!

Liz!!!!
We must GTG soon - it's been too long (since Umberto's - geez!)
Erica - Did you ever get the call back? I hope everything works out for the best for you. As so many people have said already, don't get discouraged. Keep your head up, eyes open, and brighter things will come your way. Accompany your hubby to Spain and keep us posted. Trish

Good luck Erica. I agree with Teri... if it's meant to be, it will be.
DH says its up to me...and that he would stay back too...but no reason that we should both stay...

how were you feeling when you thought you missed your chance? disappointed or ok with it? If you were really disappointed, stick around for the interview and see this through.

Weren't you planning on a few days in NY before Spain? can you meet up with DH in NY, and fly together from there?

Re: I could cry right now
I was going to ask you if you heard back yet! I'd try and stick around for the interview, if at all possible. Just so that you've done everything in your power to increase the odds of getting the job (that would be my thought process!) That's a tough call to make though - definitely take tonight to think about all your options.
