So I did the newest version of my newlywed chop.
This was the deal; tried to get an appointment at the girl who colors my hair to give her another shot but she was booked till April SO went back to my old stylist who has done me for like 4-5 years.I was a little worried cause my B pics are in 2 weeks but figured be BRAVE! Daring!
Anyway, I haven't seen my old girl in about 9 months. Turns out when I got there SHE wasn't there lmao. CAUSE...she was giving birth TWO TWINS! She was 9 months preggers and I had NO clue! They didn't have my number so couldn't call me soooo I almost didn't cut it BUT...there's this guy thats been there since 96. he is this funny as anything, gay chinese guy who always seemed to do a nice job on other people. Personally I like gay male hairdressers. It is a cliche but in my experience they ALWAYS do the best job lol. Before my girl iI used a black cross-dresser who always made me look fierce.
Anyway, Dennis (new stylist) took me and I was a little apprehensive because he was so confident. He looked at the pic I had, sat me down and talked the entire time he snipped... AND SNIPPED lol. I didn't think I had THAT much hair to lose but I did. But he was funny and we traded OCD stories cause his partner is the same as Pete. Anyway my hair looks.....
FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think so anyway. Its a gradiated bob-not quite as sharply angled as the last time-a little sleeker, sexier. I still have the long chin length fringe in front but it is much better blended in back; slightly longer layers than before and none of those damn little 'dog ears' from the last time-the part that curled out that I HATED. I have it worn smooth today but he showed me how to punk it out-its so versatile cause short in back but the front and top is long enough to play with a little bit so I can do lots of diff looks.
I LOVE MY HAIR!!! So far anyway. When i wash it it might freak out a bit but its def a good cut so I will learn to tame it if it does!

Thank you! I didnt do much wih it in the pics but I can pull the whole top part back and back a poof or wave it over because its like 4 inches long. Just really versatile.
Ignore the back-it started waving up so I have that mini 'tail' in the middle. But it sstill looks pretty ok despite the torrential downpours so Im thinking it won't freak too badly when I wash it tomorrow.

LOL thanks. You just have toDO it if you're going to. I used to have hair to my butt but when my first b/f broke my heart I chopped it lol. To my JAW. I was flipping but then I was working as a camp counselor and was in the pool all day and got tired of washing and drying it. SO I cut out pics of SHORT hair and told the stylist 'do me.'
I cane out looking like Halle Berry and though I was SHOCKED at first, i remember walking out of the salon and a guy walked into the wall from looking back so sharply lmao. Never gone back to super long hair since then and when I try on long wigs Im like eh..Not me anymore.
Short short hair isnt for everyone I know but the right short cut can be REALLY sexy! The bob is hot right now-soooo many bariations of it. My hair if pushed behind my ears and smoothed, loooks SHORT. ut when I push it forward it looks longer. Pick up some hair magazines and take a look at styles. You might have fun.

yeah i think i need to find a new hair person - your posts have made me realize that.
i use the same lady my mom uses, the charges me $10 and i blow out my own hair. She cuts my niece's hair too ( she is one) LOL
i was using her for cost and convenience and she is a GREAT stylist but not so much trendy, just talented - if that makes sense.
i think i need to get fancier!

Thank you! I am happy with it. Its a style pretty much anyone can wear honesty-all diff variations. Some are shorter like the POB, some are longer like Rhianna's original one. Your stylist adjusts it to YOUR face shape which is nice.
Even my daddy liked it and he is hard to sell on short hair lol.

Is your hair really curly? Mine is really wavy but I do a quick blow dry and then flat iron it. LOVE my flat iron. Bets one I have ever used and its sooo cheap.
