We are moving that weekend so I am sure we won't get a chance to do anything really maybe some place local. Did you try Blackstone?

For $160 for the two of you, you can go to Blackstone Steakhouse in Melville. It's expensive, but the food is incredible (and you don't have to cook it yourself )

I know, I'm a little nervous about this considering we're going with 2 other couples. However it leaves time to get drunk at the bar

Re: V-DAY reservations?

We called this weekend and made reservations at Rothmans in East Norwich.

Great food and reasonably priced for a steakhouse.

The place where we got married is having a dinner and dancing thing - I think we are going to go there.

Or Mac's in Huntington. We just went there and oh.my.god. The food is soooooo good. We got 2 appetizers, 2 sides and dessert/after dinner drinks and it came to $200 for the two of us (thank god we had a gift card!) but you can do it for less if you don't get allllll the extras.

DH and I once went to Polo in Garden City hotel. Not on valentines day though. But that place is very nice and super fancy. And I think our bill was like $135 with a bottle of wine. So if you are going to spend 160, maybe go somewhere like that instead of a chain restaurant. Im sure melting pot is good, but is it good for $160?

We are using a gift card and going to Waterzooi, one of our favorite places. But Linda I know you have said your DH doesn't like fish .... and it's mostly mussels and seafood ... they have steaks though. Belgian food, beer - great!!!!
