So DH and I decided that we need a winter getaway to a nice island in March/April.
You girls have any ideas ? We went to CSA in Jamaica for our honeymoon and LOVED it but would like to try somewhere different. Looking to go in March. Any ideas for Mexico, Aruba, etc. Don't want to spend more than 3K.

look at the one year anniversary thread below. DH and i are going to Sun Palace in cancun next month. we're going for only 5 nights, and it cost us less than $3K for flight, all-inclusive resort and transfers to and from the hotel. the resort is couples only which was key for us.

We absolutely loved Aruba! We stayed at the Hyatt and it was gorgeous...

if you want to stay around 3K I think the best deals you'll find are all inclusive. Look into RIU in Cabo

aruba - i wouldn't recommend my hotel, but most of the palm peach hotels are gorgeous.
bahamas - it was beautiful there.

Thanks. The Riu looked gorgeous and Aruba has been on my list of places. Did either of you use a travel agent or do it yourself.

I looked up things on the internet, took the best deal to my travel agent and he found a better deal. He gave us travel vouchers too

dominican erpublic may be a good option- I believe you can sometimes find good deals and get a nice luxury AI for 5-6 nights for 3k. Maybe less!

Cabo.. best vacation. great nightlife, restaurants, beaches.pools.
