Venting In-Laws long

Hi Ladies, I just needed to vent about something. My mil had a massive stroke in Nov. and is now living in a nursing home. My husband bought his childhood house from his mom about 15 years ago and raised his kids in the house along with his mom. Anyway, we got married in Jan. and its has been a real struggle to get mom's stuff packed up and moved out. I didn't have my own pots, towels bedding etc... Now keep in mind in addition to starting a new marriage, I also have to adjust to being step mom to two kids. So today (while I was out at an event for my side of family) sisters came over to clean out the stuff. (By the way they told us late last night that they were coming over today.) Well one sister yelled at dh because we didn't lock up my dog and cats before they got there. Then we were yelled at for ready for this? washing the curtains - they were new and sister wanted to return them (they have been hanging on windows for over 5 months now.) Then they took a waterford crystal ship we received from a trip we took. There is so much more and I don't want you all to slip into a coma while reading this.. I am just so angry at the way I have been forced to start our marriage and am really ready to explode on one of his sisters (she is having a total breakdown over mom's illness, but given the fact that my mom died 6 years ago in an accident, I just don't have any patience anymore. I guess I just and to unload and ask if anyone has overly involved inlaws and what do you do?

Re: Venting In-Laws long

yes yes yes my inlaws are overly involved...they basically are my marriage

not my inlaws. FIL is nice, but MIL is a pain in the ***... DH is her 'baby' and all that other crap...

what do i do?
1) fight with DH
2) ignore her
3) talk back to her
4) fight with her and DH
5) wish she would just go away
6) cry

lol i dont know those are like my 6 options.... which arent the BEST options... i hope things work out for you... just remember please stand up for yourself, i didnt in the beginning out of respect towards DH's mom...and basically got treated like a door mat...

hope htings work out, if u ever need any chats. feel free to FM
