Wanna Play A Game??

Wanna Play A Game??

I saw this on another website and I thought it was hilarious!!

Let's play the 'What did you REALLY want to say to certain guests??' game.

Here are some entries:

Dear Cousins Who Did Not Send A Reply But Showed Up Anyway:
Thank you so much for the lovely gift you left us. I thought that leaving it in the WalMart bag was quite a unique wrapping idea, and added such a lovely touch to our gift table. What's more, it was so thoughtful of you to include the receipt, which showed us not only that you purchased the gift about an hour before our wedding, but that you exchanged something of your own in order to purchase it for us. What a nice touch. We'll laugh about that for years to come, long after we have, in turn, re-exchanged your gift.

Dear M & K -
You didn't take the hint did you? We said, 'We were hoping all the parents would enjoy a night off with the grown-ups.' You must have thought we didn't mean you. Loved it when your rug rat started squealing during our vows. I couldn't have planned it better. It was particularly charming when he started crawling under the tables.

Add yours!

Dear X & X,
Thank you so much for inviting your son AND HIS GIRLFRIEND! I guess you figured we overlooked them when we made out our guest list.

To my sister:

Thanks sis. It was so nice of you, your husband, your daughter, your son, and your other daughter and her boyfriend to join us on our special day. It was so generous of you to give us a gift that barely covered two of the six meals. I am so sorry we had our wedding on a Sunday, and you had to leave early b/c the next day was a work day, and I am so glad you pointed that out to us (Even though you own the company). The say just wouldn't have been the same if you weren't there.

Dear DH's idiot friend

thank you for forgetting to COME to our wedding, because you were too high on all the drugs you do. I was really happy because you did not make an a$$hole of yourself and ruin my day!

Dear Family Member and spouse:

Thank you for your generous gift that barely covered one of your meals. And I hope you enjoyed your trip to Hawaii a week later...

To my other family members: Thank you for your generous gift. You got married 11 years ago and my gift then was more generous than yours last year...

To my friend: Thanks for coming with your girlfriend du jour, who danced with her skirt up around her waist the whole reception. Remind me to thank the videographer for sparing us a recap on video.

Despite all this, though, my wedding was wonderful!!!!

Ohhhh! this is a great topic. I'll jave to add mine a bit later since right now I'm too angry to write mine at this moment. I'm sure if I do now, it will be bleeped out!

These would be funny if they weren't true.

Dear friend,
Thank you so much for showing up late for our ceremony because you had to stop and smoke a joint on the way over.

Dear M & B
Thank you so much for not speaking to me or congratulating us on our wedding day, seriously. It means so much to us to have you in our photos looking like a deer caught in headlights. And especially for your generosity when it came to the 'gift' that was less then a tenth of what you said you would give us.

Dear former co-worker that insisted on rsvp'ing with your daughter as your guest and not showing up!

to all of you

Re: Wanna Play A Game??

As most of you know, my wedding isn't until September . . .but I swear, I haven't laughed this hard in such a long time.

HERE'S ANOTHER STOLEN ENTRY:

Dear Friends Whom I No Longer Like So Much:
Since we were with you when we got engaged and have been close friends for years, of course I didn't mind when you included your three children on the adult-only reply card. Adding three extra $80 meals is nothing for close friends such as yourselves. With that in mind, I want to thank you so much for not showing up at our wedding at all, and for leaving us no note or call as to why. Your recent excuse of 'oh, we forgot!' was just what I wanted to hear. Please watch your mail for the $400 bill to cover your meals. No hard feelings if I forget to attend your vow renewal next year, after I reply that I'm bringing my entire extended family.

One more! I couldn't resist:

Dear M -
So sorry you weren't happy with your hair. I was terribly concerned. I didn't like my hair at your wedding three weeks later, but you didn't see me CRYING about it, did you? Of all the things...By the way, your a$$ looks huge in the pictures. And I did pick that dress on purpose.

Ok, 2 more:

Dear D & Wife,

Thank you for the beautiful Mikasa picture frame. We took it back to Mikasa to exchange and we so impressed with the amount of money you spent on it. We are going to use the $14.95 towards a down payment of our first home. I hope you enjoyed the $100 per person dinner. I'm so glad that my family has been close with you for so many years and that you make $500K a year and get a new BMW every 4 years, because a 4 year old car is just tooo old. I hope the $14.95 didn't dent your pocket too much. Thanks again.

Dear Dr. DH's second cousin:

Thank you so much for not replying to the invitation we sent you or the follow-up phone call. But we do appreciate you showing up at the wedding anyway, making your own place at one of the head tables and especially thank you for not giving us a gift. Since you are a cardiac surgeon, we can understand all too well what a hardship this might be.

Dear Cousin and wife:

Thanks so much for being generous enough to teach us about 'payback'. We agree that since DH's brother did not give you a wedding gift 9 years ago, it's only fair that you return the favor on our behalf.

LOL! funny topic. those cover our wedding gift thank yous that we had been having trouble finding the words to write

These are just so funny!!

I'm afraid to write my thank-you note as I am afraid they may come here and read it!! But sad enough, i'd be writing to my bridal party members (friends from HS!). Ugghh..

It is so sad, but some of those thank yous could go to some of guests.

Re: Wanna Play A Game??

Not mine - but what my friend should have said:

Dear friend since elementary school and BM,

Thank you for trying to ruin my wedding day, stating to other members of the BP that you slept with my husband and doing coke in the bathroom with a GM. It was always a pleasure to hear from you a month later, from the hospital where you just gave birth to your 4th kid, sure you didn't know you were 5 months prego when doing those lines!

I also appreciated havin to pay for your dress to be in my BP, what an honor that was for me!

Re: Wanna Play A Game??

holy moly shelz

thank you first cousin,

Although I was a poor college student and had no money, I still gave you a present (what I could afford)...thank you for getting even with me 6 years later at my wedding...since you are a chief nurse and your husband is an executive...the $55 silverware setting as a gift made a lot of sense...
